🔵🟢 We’ve just been sent a poster from the very first Fen Gallop! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The first Fen Gallop took place in 2015 (also on 5 July 😂)! Eleven years on - and with 2020 being our first-ever virtual Fen Gallop - we’re proud to be hosting our 11th in-person event this year.

Before that, the event evolved from the much-loved Willingham Fun Run, continuing a fantastic local tradition of running and community spirit 🟢🔵

Looking back has brought back plenty of memories, and we'd love to hear yours too!

🏃‍♂️🌾 We need your support to secure the future of the Fen Gallop.

At present, we are unable to confirm whether the Fen Gallop will take place in 2027 due to a shortage of volunteers, helpers and committee members across both the Fen Gallop team and the Willingham School Association.

Both teams raise valuable funds for the local school and other projects or local groups (this year Community Warden scheme and CamRare). BUT they can only continue with the support of local people.

If you'd like to see the Fen Gallop continue beyond 2026, please:
✅ Sign up for the 2026 event as soon as possible
✅ Volunteer to help on race day or join the organising team
✅ Share this post with friends, family and local groups
