Lochgilphead - 6th September 2026
2nd leg of interclub competition

Despite it being a tad windy, the expected rain never came to much and at least we stayed dry 🙂. A few fish were caught by both clubs and the results are as follows:

Lochgilphead Angling Club: 17lb 10oz.
Kintyre Angling Club: 4lb 15oz.

Well done to Lochgilphead for winning the second leg of the competition.
James Montgomery had the heaviest bag for Lochgilphead at 4Lb 14oz and Reid Anderson had the heaviest bag for Kintyre at 2lb 2oz. Well done to you both.
Thanks very much to Kevin for taking the group photo and also for taking the boys up. We hope the boys enjoyed your day away.

With both legs of the competition now completed, the results are:

Kintyre Angling Club: 1st leg - 27lb 6oz, 2nd leg - 4lb 15oz with a grand total of 32lb 5oz.
Lochgilphead Angling Club: 1st leg - 3lb 9oz, 2nd leg - 17lb 10oz with a grand total of 21lb 3oz.

1st leg winner - Kintyre. 2nd leg winner - Lochgilphead.
Overall winner: Kintyre Angling club.

Thank you very much to Lochgilphead and District Angling Club for a great day and for the hospitality afterwards. It's always a pleasure to visit you and we look forward to seeing you all again in May 2027. 🎣🐟🙂

‼️ALL CLUB MEMBERS‼️
Heading to Lochgilphead a week today (Sunday 6th September 2026) for the second leg of our interclub competition.
If you haven't yet, could you let us know if you will be going?
For those going but haven't been before and not sure how to get there, we will be meeting up at the swimming pool on Sunday and leaving from there around 8.00am and will be travelling in a kind of convoy. 🎣🐟🙂

Lussa Loch
Sunday 16th August 2026

Today eight of our youngsters competed for the Donald Kelly Snr Junior Memorial Shield.
A great days fishing with some of the juniors showing us seniors how it should be done 😊.
Kian Campbell had the heaviest fish and he is the very first winner of this shield which has been very kindly donated by Donald Kelly.

This competition is fly fishing only and just for Junior Club Members and is for The Donald Kelly Snr Junior Memorial Shield.

These two crackers were caught by club member Donnie yesterday at Auchalochy. One being around the 3 to 4 lb mark and the other being around 4 to 5 lbs. 🎣🐟🙂

Our junior open winner was Robbie with this fantastic rainbow.
