🎯 Be Active Wales Funding Delivers Lasting Impact!

We're proud to share how funding from the Be Active Wales Fund, supported by The National Lottery, has transformed shooting opportunities across Flintshire District Scouts.

The funding enabled Flintshire District Scouts to purchase competition-standard P*P rifles, pistols and supporting equipment, helping more young people and adults access high-quality coaching, develop their skills and progress towards regional and national competition.

Introducing NSPCC Sport – the new name for the Child Protection in Sport Unit. For more than 25 years, the CPSU has worked alongside sports organisations, including Welsh Shooting, to strengthen safeguarding across the sport and physical activity sector.

Their new name — NSPCC Sport — reflects their evolving role and their continued commitment to supporting organisations to create caring and inclusive experiences for every child in sport and physical activity.

What this means for our sport:
• Our partnership with the NSPCC remains unchanged.
• We will continue using NSPCC Sport’s expert guidance and resources to shape our safeguarding policies and practices.
• Coaches, volunteers and clubs will still have access to the same trusted advice, tools and training.
