A little late to the party, but these achievements are too good not to celebrate! 🥳
Our Welsh juniors enjoyed a fantastic weekend in Wiltshire proving that the future of Welsh badminton is in great hands.
🥇 Gold for Akhil Kannan in Singles
🥈 Silver for Iolo Coles in Singles
🥉 Bronze for Eden Harris in Singles
A Welsh clean sweep of the Singles podium! 👏
Iolo and Akhil then teamed up to take 🥇 Gold in Open Doubles, while Akhil added another 🥈 Silver in Mixed Doubles.
Ailsa Coles claimed 🥈 Silver in both Girls' Doubles and Mixed Doubles (alongside Iolo) at the U15 Bronze tournament.
Massive congratulations to all our players on a brilliant weekend of competition and success!

Badminton Cymru - Wales is supporting Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 by encouraging people across Wales to “Take Action to Move More” and recognise the positive impact sport and community can have on mental wellbeing.
As part of the week, Badminton Wales is promoting badminton as more than just a sport, but as a safe, inclusive space where people can feel supported, connected and valued.
Whether it’s attending a local club session, playing socially with friends, volunteering, coaching or simply getting active, badminton can help reduce stress, boost confidence and create meaningful social connections.
Badminton Wales believes everyone should have access to welcoming environments where individuals feel safe to participate, be themselves and support one another both on and off court.
For mental health advice, support and resources, visit the Mental Health Foundation at mentalhealth.org.uk.
