🚨MATCH RESULTS - So close to perfection🏏🚨
🏏1st Xl - Disappointing result.
-Bowling first, we saw ourselves ontop of the game at drinks, having the opposition at 90/6. Wickets for BUKHARI, AFRIDI & SCHONKEN.
-The opposition tail-end then played extremely well and frustrated the bowlers to get to 200.
-Batting saw small partnerships form throughout but tough decisions and soft dismissals ment we lost all momentum. BUKHARI & DAVIES breathed hope back into the chase as they put on 50 together, but the tight finish saw us fail to chase the total.
-Disappointing to say the least as that was a game to be won.
🏏2nd Xl - Another tight finish!
-Bowling first had every emotion, consistent wickets throughout ment the lads were in prime position, but a massive 100 from the opposition number 4, meant they scrabbled to 200. Wickets shared throughout for all bowlers.
-Again the chase look promising with the first 2 wickets only being lost for 145 runs, leaving 50 to get. Unfortunately a flurry of wickets at the back end of the innings made life harder to get over the line, which in the end we fall by 4 runs.
-Again brillant seeing the youngsters contribute but again looking for the final product to get over the line.
🏏Macey Cup - So close!
-The lads bowled first and looked right ontop with BUKHARI taking a wicket first ball and also 2 balls later!
-The opposition played well and managed to get to 137, where I understand was about par.
-BROWN set the stall out in the chase and was hitting a very clean ball ending with 80 off 59, but again a cluster of wickets at the back end of the innings made the chase extremely difficult and we fall short by 6 runs.

🚨MATCH RESULTS - 2s chase big!🏏🚨
🏏1st Xl - Better fight shown!
-Batting first, we again got off to great start with the openers putting on another 50+ partnership with M.SCHONKEN hitting a half century, but then wickets started to fall through the middle overs. B.HOLE showed resistance with a needed run a ball 54 and C.HEALY showed power at the end of the innings to get us to just short of 250, which did feel around 20/30 short.
-The opposition then set off well with partnerships throughout, with Ex Glammy pro WAGG proving his classed and bring the opposition home.
-A couple catches taken and we could have seen a different result. Great fight back from the boys but just short.
🏏2nd Xl -BIG WIN!
-Bowling first saw the wickets shared around by all bowlers, as the opposition batted well and got to a large total in 40 overs!
-The chase again started off brilliantly as throughout our batting innings everyone got in but unfortunately couldn’t kick on, until A.MUKHOPADHYAY come to the crease and smoked an incredible 78 NO, to guide the side to the required 11 runs off the last over!
-A brilliant chase with everyone stepping up and helping out.

FROM PCC TO THE HUDSON RIVER
Help spread the word for an incredibly worthy cause.
Most of you know Chris, our amazing 2nd XI cricket tea legend and her daughter Nicola and son-in-law Jack - aka "Jack the Roller." Jack has spent many years as our club mechanic - carrying out oil changes, fixed battery issues, keeping things safe over the winter months and generally being on call whenever we needed it.
Now, he's trading the roller for the open water to take on a massive challenge for Velindre Cancer Centre. Both Jack and Nicola lost their fathers to cancer, and they know firsthand how vital Velindre's first-class treatment and support are to families across Wales.
Next June, Jack is heading to New York for a gruelling two-day charity swim:
Day 1: Swimming around the Statue of Liberty.
Day 2: Swimming across the Hudson River.
He needs to raise a minimum of £4,000 and you can support this goal in a few ways:

🚨MATCH RESULTS - Hard Lines🏏🚨
🏏1st Xl - Hard fought but second best.
-batting first, we are started off well with BROWN & SCHONKEN putting on another great partnership, but with a lot of spin being bowled the opposition flow through the overs.
-Consistent wickets throughout caused the run rate to drop and the lads fall maybe 40/50 short of what could have been an above par score.
-With the ball, nothing clicked and the opposition got off to a flyer, only managing to take 2 wickets, the opposition cruised home with no issues.
-Hard lines but improvements needed.
🏏2nd Xl - Youngsters do well but again more needed to get win.
-Bowling first, the team set out well with again taking wickets a good intervals, but aggressive batting and partnerships throughout put the opposition in a good position.
-A.MUKHOPADHYAY the pick of the bowlers taking 5 for! While other wickets all shared around by the youngsters.
-The chase set off well with the top order scoring well, but some good bowling through the middle overs put the breaks on the chase.
-Great potential shown by the youngsters but a full team performance will be needed!

A day to remember at Pentyrch as we welcomed the Stephen Rees family for a fixture played in Stephen's memory. The boys marked the occasion with a win over Port Talbot in front of a brilliant crowd. Thank you to everyone who came to support.
