🚨MATCH RESULTS - Bukhari Rips Through!🦃🚨

🏏1st Xl - A new venue for the 1st Xl and great weather to match!
-Skipper ROBERTS won the toss and elected to bat, and we saw good steady batting start top thanks to some good opposition bowling.
-The pressure quickly shifted as HOLE joined BROWN in the middle and the scoreboard accelerated rapidly as the pair put on a 115 runs partnership at a run a ball.
-Some late big hitting from BUKHARI & DAVIES put us in great position.
-The second innings then saw BUKHARI rip through the opposition top order and was basically unplayable, to which the game was killed after 9 overs. SCHONKEN & DAVIES then put the squeeze on and finished up the innings!
-A very dominate performance to say the least.

🏏2nd Xl - After losing the toss and being put into bat, some early wickets caused a huge set back with DABSON countering and making a very well made 50. Contributions from OSBORNE & HAMMETT helped push the score to 170 but a tough first innings.
-A first over wicket from ASHBY brought hope to the defence but the opposition set out aggressively and built partnerships throughout.
-A tough game against a good opposition.

🏏T20 - Losing the toss and having to bowl, the lads started off well containing the oppositions SCHONKEN the pick of the bowlers!
-With 150 on the board to chase, we started off well with BROWN & SCHONKEN setting the ton but consistent wickets throughout saw the boys unable to keep up with the run rate.

🚨TEAM NEWS - Double header weekend🏏🦃🚨

🏏1st Xl - This week the 1st Xl travel AWAY to newly formed Swansea & Civil Service CC.
-After last week’s win, the team have 2 changes, with 2 new 1st Xl league debutants in Turkey Junior graduate GRIFFITHIS & new pace bowling youngster CHAUHAN!
-We wish the best of luck to both players!

🏏2nd Xl - The 2nd Xl will host Sully Centurions CC at HOME.
-A great win last week to which the lads will be looking to improve on and go 2 for 2 but do have some strong opposition to come up against.

🏏SWPL T20 - Sundays sees the side travel AWAY to Newport CC, to take part in the the SWPL T20 cup.

🚨MATCH RESULTS - Double WIN Weekend🦃🚨

🏏1st Xl - A beautiful day at Turkey Towers saw the skipper win the toss and elect to bowl on a good pitch and good overhead conditions.
-The first 25 overs had some great cricket played from both sides with 3 wickets falling in the session. After drinks the boys put on a clinic with ball and took the remaining 7 wickets for 50 runs! SCHONKEN & DAVIES both with 3 each, reducing the opposition to less than 150.
-The chase set off with both openers setting the ton with a 50 partnership, with ROBERTS (29*) & HOLE (45) then doing the damage and putting on an 80+ run partnership seal the win!
-Great team performance throughout!

🏏2nd Xl - After being put into bat on a tough pitch, the lads set out steadily but a consistent fall of wickets throughout the innings stagnated the runs scoring. A hard earned innings from DABSON (39) in the context of things was a massive innings.
-With only 121 on the board, the bowlers hit the ground running and ripped through the opposition top ordered with HOOD & ASHBY providing the damage!
-A brilliant show of resistance after a tough order with the bat to turn the game around!

🚨TEAM NEWS - A Full Game Please?🏏🦃🚨

🏏1st Xl - This week the 1st Xl are at HOME against top of the league Ynystawe CC.
-After last week’s wash out, the boys looked in good shape and keen to push on and put on another good performance!

🏏2nd Xl - The 2nd Xl travel AWAY to Crumlin CC, looking to get a win on the board!
-A few changes from last week but those coming into the side looking to hit the ground running!

🚨MATCH RESULTS - Wet Weekend 🌧️🚨

🏏1st Xl - With rain delaying the start of the game and reducing over to 32 per side, the opposition set off well, but some fight back from GROSSETT pinned them back.
-A great partnership throughout the middle overs saw the opposition set up well for the final overs but a brillant finally over from DAVIES saw the lads get full bowling points, with his 3 wickets in 1 over!
-Rain then fell at tea and no further play was possible.

🏏2nd Xl - Another wet day saw the 2nd Xl only manage to play 4.3 overs in total before the rain fell and no play was possible.

A well deserved congratulations to all our Pentyrch and Lisvane Sapphires, who performed the guard of honour for the England women’s cricket team ahead of their clash against New Zealand on Saturday! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇳🇿

New Zealand won the match by 17 runs to level the series at 1-1.
