As an independent, democratic and expert organisation, Cycling UK's activities reflect the commitment of members, volunteers and partners to make cycling mainstream and to create a lasting difference to the lives of individuals and communities. Cycling UK is a UK-wide organisation which campaigns for cyclists’ rights and promotes cycling in a variety of forms: touring, leisure, commuting and family. It has local groups in over 100 UK towns and cities. We are the local group for Cardiff and South East Wales. We organise a programme of cycle rides and some social events too. Our rides are almost entirely on-road, using lanes, cycle paths, and quieter routes wherever possible. We ride at a steady-to-leisurely pace, with frequent regrouping-stops, and usually a café en route. You don’t have to be a member of the Cycling UK to try out our rides, so why not come along and see if it’s for you. If after three rides you’re hooked, then you will be expected to join Cycling UK.
