Llongyfarchiadau i'n pencampwyr! 🐉🏊 IRONMAN Wales once again delivered an unforgettable day of racing as athletes took on one of the toughest and most iconic courses in triathlon.

As part of the event, the Welsh National Long Distance Championships saw athletes compete for national honours, with Ryan James and Princess Shaddick crowned Welsh National Long Distance Champions.

Congratulations to all athletes who took on the challenge, and thank you to the volunteers, supporters and our amazing hair braiders who helped make race weekend so special. 👏

Pob lwc to our National Triathlon Performance Centre Wales (NTPCW) athletes racing this weekend! 👏

Jasmine Cooper will be lining up at the Europe Triathlon Cup in Coimbra, Portugal, taking on an international field in the historic city. We’re excited to see Jasmine back on the start line and putting her development to the test. Pob lwc, Jasmine! 🤞

Ellie White will be taking on the Openlakes Elite Half Distance Triathlon. Stepping up to the start line of a half-distance event is a fantastic challenge in itself, and we’re looking forward to seeing Ellie take it on! Pob lwc, Ellie, enjoy the experience! 👏

Meanwhile, Deri McCluskey will be racing at IRONMAN 70.3 Emilia-Romagna. After some strong performances already this season, we’re looking forward to seeing what Deri can do as he takes on another big challenge. Pob lwc, Deri! 🤞

It’s set to be a huge weekend in Llanberis as The Brutal Extreme Triathlons and Duathlons return, with athletes taking on Standard, Half, Full, Double and Triple Extreme Triathlon distances! 🏔️ With some seriously challenging distances on offer, it’s an incredible test of endurance and determination. A huge pob lwc to everyone taking on the challenge 💪👏

Also taking place this weekend is Celtic Tri’s Neath Valley Triathlon. This inclusive, pool-based triathlon is open to everyone, providing a friendly and welcoming opportunity to get involved in the sport. Good luck to everyone taking part, have fun and enjoy your race! 🌟🚴

Ymunwch â ni! 🏊🏃‍➡️ Triathlon Cymru is launching a nationwide search across Wales to discover young athletes with the potential to take their sporting journey into triathlon.

And you don’t need to have competed in triathlon before! 👀

We’re particularly looking for talented swimmers and runners with the speed, endurance and determination to transfer their skills into the sport.

With triathlon set to feature at the 2027 Commonwealth Youth Games in Malta, there’s an exciting international opportunity ahead for athletes in the relevant age category. But this search is about more than one event, it’s about identifying young talent and supporting athletes with the potential to progress through the Triathlon Cymru performance pathway.

Camp anhygoel 🏆 Congratulations to all National Champions awarded medals on Monday following the Welsh National Long Distance Championships. Following the awards presentation, we became aware of some chip timing and results related issues that may have affected a small number of Championship placings.

After reviewing the results, the medals awarded on the day will remain in place. However, we will also be awarding additional medals to recognise performances within the Championship.

The impact is limited to a small number of athletes, and we will be contacting those affected directly.

Thank you for your understanding, and congratulations once again to all our 2026 Welsh National Long Distance Championship medallists. 👏

Mae’r Gyfres yn dirwyn i ben! 🏆 That's a wrap on the 2026 Welsh Triathlon Super Series!

After six fantastic races across Wales, the series came to an exciting conclusion in Bala, with individual and club champions decided after months of competition.

Diolch i'n athletwyr 👏 A big thank you to all the athletes and spectators who have helped support our Safer Blue Spaces Wales project this season.

With water quality increasingly impacting events across the UK, this research is helping us better understand conditions in real-world sporting environments and support safer blue spaces for the future.
