Okay okay, we know it's been a while! Apologies to regulars who are itching to get back in the park.

Summer was a busy one for us as a family, & between the heatwaves & flooded ramps we had to shut for a while anyway.

We'll be back soooooonish though, give us a few weeks to build a new thing to play on. 😏

* SUMMER UPDATE *

Shut for a bit now while we fix some bits that got wet, fix some bits that needed sorting anyway, & make a couple little changes to the park & add a few new things to have fun on during winter. 👌

Shout if you're after any bits we sell in the shop ;
Helmets / Pads / Skate Goods /Decent BMX Brands etc. We'll figure a way to get it to you. 🫡

Get out & enjoy the summer sunshine! ☀️

BMX Coaching - every Saturday from 1 - 2.
Ran by Steve, a British Cycling qualified BMX Freestyle Coach.

Here's what we got up to today:

After running around like lunatics for 10mins as part of a fun warm up, the group wanted to get straight into practicing 180's on a quarter.
It's all about working on good technique for this one.

The Manny Machine!
This thing is a perfect way to figure out the balance point on a BMX & work on body position to optimise the balance over the back wheel. It provides a safe way to bail out onto a sofa too!

Games of Foot Down are a staple part of BMX Coaching on a Saturday here at P1!
Whether in a large group, or 1v1, it's always fun, & challenges bike control & balance no matter what level people are at.

Interested in giving BMX a try? As long as you're comfortable standing up whilst riding a bike, BMX coaching is a super fun way to give it a go & build a solid foundation of skills. All ages welcome, and we have a small selection of bikes people can use too 🤟

For any more information about BMX Coaching on a Saturday, drop us a message.

Hammonds Pond skatepark is neeeeearly done, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay off if till the fences are down!

Canvas Skateparks have been grafting to get it all done, but it'll be getting sealed next week, and then when that & some groundworks are done, the fences will come down & you'll be good to go!

(Going on there prematurely only sets things back for everyone.)

Looking forward to some warmer weather & finding new lines on that fresh crete 🙌
