NEW strength skill being unlocked by member .ford1

This is Jane’s second week working on after building a solid foundation with & other fundamental strength movements for a number of months.

As a woman in her 50s it’s vitally important to build & maintain muscle mass & bone density as well as preserving mobility - all of which we focus on at UR.

It’s also important to develop real world, transferable strength & not just sit on machines to work muscles. Machines can have a place but should NOT be relied upon exclusively.

Our main focus with our members in their 50s, 60s & 70s is quality, pain-free movement & appropriate strength training.

We have 5 ‘Pure Movement’ group classes per week where we work on balance, mobility, coordination, body awareness & loaded stretching.

Here’s just a snippet of some shoulder mobility the group were doing this week.

We are Chelmsford’s longest running independent gym (20 years next year!) & the ONLY one to exclusively cater for members over 50.
