CASUAL LIVERY YARD GROOM – CHELMSFORD EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

We are looking for reliable, hardworking and experienced casual yard staff to join our friendly and professional Livery Yard at Chelmsford Equestrian Centre. Hours are ‘as and when required’ and will include weekend working.
Our clients value the care and consistency that we provide, and you will be supporting the Livery Yard Supervisor in delivering the high standards they expect, to 25+ horses.

The role requires all daily yard tasks including mucking out to a high standard, turning out/bringing in, rug changes, preparing feed/hay nets and general yard tidying.
Previous experience of working on a yard is essential, and you must be confident in handling horses of various temperaments.
You must be adaptable and able to work independently and as part of a team and have a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with livery clients.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience working at a busy and professional Livery Yard.

Hourly rate depends upon experience, and you will be required to work a paid trial shift to assess your suitability. This role is a PAYE position, not cash in hand. You will be paid each month, for any hours worked, through our company payroll system.

Chelmsford Equestrian Centre - Casual Yard Groom.

We are looking for casual staff to help with all aspects of horse and pony care, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays. The role includes mucking out, tack cleaning, bringing in and turning out, feeding and grooming. You will also assist with our busy lesson schedule: tacking up and leading clients in lessons as required.

You must be aged 18 years or older, hardworking, reliable and take pride in being part of a professional team. Previous experience of working with or being around horses is essential. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working at a busy and professional Equestrian Centre.

Looking for a great way to introduce your child to horses and make summer memories?
Come and join us to start to experience what it’s like to own your own pony with our 1 to 1 sessions! Help to groom your pony and tack them up, ready for your ride. Whether you have never groomed a horse before or you know all the names of the different brushes, there is always something new to learn with our knowledgeable staff and leaders.

A 60-minute Pony Experience costs £61.50 – or £40.00 for each additional child (Max 2 extra children). Includes a 30-minute Riding Lesson and 30 minutes of Pony Care.
