Busy doing maintenance on the lawns and the patio at the Club today. The Clubhouse door now fully opens thanks to Dave and Dave. Sharon took the photos and did some weedkilling on lawn 3 while Clive rode around on the Toro.

He's brand new to croquet, been with us less than a month and has already recorded his first competitive win.. and then 2nd... in a remarkable contribution (he won his doubles too) during our 10-8 victory in the NW handicap league against Tattenhall. All hail Robert Bellfield!!

🎉 Celebration of Croquet Day at Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club 🎉

On Sunday 13 September, we’ll be welcoming players from local clubs for a friendly, non-competitive day of croquet.

With GC, Short Croquet and AC roll-ups, players of all abilities can come together, enjoy some fun on the lawns and help us raise funds for the RNLI. ⚓️

James Death completes the first ever recorded Straight Sextuple Peel

Bowdon Croquet Club has hosted the Championship of the North of England, where James Death completed 4 sextuple peels through the tournament, including a straight sextuple peel to win the Semi-Final against Debbie Lines.

It was the coming together of two worlds. Members of King’s Lynn Steampunk Society paid a visit to Downham Croquet Club to have a go at the game in the beautiful grounds of Stow Hall Gardens. The visitors were ably guided by Alison Ravnkilde, one of the club’s members, who introduced them to the delights of croquet on some rather parched, fast lawns. The Steampunkers declared the day a success and hope to make this an annual event.
