Llangollen Town Reserves 5-4 Saltney Town Development

A tough one to take after a remarkable second-half fightback.

A slow start saw us 3-0 down after just 26 minutes, but the lads showed great character to battle their way back into the game.

We completed the comeback with an equaliser in the 92nd minute, only to suffer heartbreak five minutes later as Llangollen grabbed the winner in the 97th.

Plenty of character and fight shown to come back from three goals down, but unfortunately nothing to show for it at the final whistle.

Our Development Squad are back in action this afternoon as we make the trip to face Llangollen Town Reserves.

After a brilliant 4-0 win to open the season in midweek, the lads will be looking to build on that performance and continue the positive start to the new campaign.

A perfect start to the season for our Development side with an impressive 4-0 victory over Sychdyn Reserves.

Four goals, a clean sheet and a strong team performance to get the new campaign off to a winning start.

Penyffordd Lions 1-0 Saltney Town

Defeat in our opening league game of the season, with a 10th-minute goal proving to be the difference between the two sides.

Not the start to the league campaign we wanted, but we regroup and go again.

The league campaign gets underway tonight as we travel to Penyffordd Lions for our opening fixture of the season.

After progressing in the FAW Amateur Trophy at the weekend, attention now turns to the league as we look to start the new campaign on a positive note.

Saltney Town 2-1 Connah’s Quay Town

We’re through to the next round of the FAW Amateur Trophy!

Trailing 1-0 at half-time, a superb second-half performance turned the game around, with goals from Cyprian Kulasza and Warren Kelly securing a deserved 2-1 victory.

A great response from the lads and a win that was well earned over the two weekends.

Next up in the competition, we welcome Broughton United to the Dragon Steel Stadium.

Tomorrow we welcome Connah’s Quay Town back to the Dragon Steel Stadium for our cup clash.

Last week’s game was unfortunately abandoned due to a serious injury while we were leading 2-0. First and foremost, we wish the injured player a full and speedy recovery.

With the original fixture abandoned, it’s back to 0-0 and we go again. The hard work from last week counts for nothing on the scoreboard, so we’ll be ready to put in another big performance.
