🎾 Family racket sports - Just £6 this summer

Keep the kids active and enjoy time together on court with our summer family racket sports offer. Throughout the holidays, families can play badminton, pickleball or squash for only £6 per court when visiting between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.

To qualify for the offer, your group must include at least one under 16, with up to four players allowed per court (max two for squash). Simply check in at reception on arrival to confirm eligibility before heading to court.

Rackets, shuttlecocks and balls are available to hire from reception, making it easy for families to get started even if you don’t have your own equipment.

Bookings can be made online or via reception up to 8 days in advance, making it easy to plan your visit.

Offer valid from 6 July to 4 September 2026.

🫄💦 | Aquanatal at Queen's Park Sports Centre

Join our Aquanatal classes, specifically designed for expectant mothers to maintain fitness during pregnancy.

These classes utilise the buoyancy of water to support your bump, allowing for a safe and enjoyable workout. It's not only a great way to stay active but also a wonderful opportunity to connect with other mums-to-be in a social setting.

The class is combined with an aquacise class and focuses on low-impact exercises that are suitable for women who are over 14 weeks pregnant.
A health screening questionnaire must be completed on your first visit.

Classes take place on Tuesdays at 7pm at Queen's Park Sports Centre.

Stay active and meet fellow expectant mums!

💙 Parent and toddler splash time!

Bring your little one for a fun and friendly swim session aimed at children up to five years old.

We’ll raise the moveable floor to create a splash pad area with toys, floats, mats and music throughout, it’s a brilliant way to introduce young children to the water.
You can even continue the fun afterwards with a soft play add on for just £2.80.

Sessions take place Mondays 1pm to 2.30pm and Thursdays 10am to 11.30am.
Price is £5.70 per adult, with one child swimming free.

☀️ | Bank holiday opening hours - Monday 31 August

All facilities will open at the normal time and will close at the following times:
🏋🏼‍♀️ The gym and climbing wall will close at 7pm.
👧🏽 Spa and play zone will close at 6pm
👟 The last fitness class will be aquacise at 12 noon
💧The pool will close 3:45pm.

All swimming lessons will take place as normal.
Children's climbing clubs will be cancelled.

💦 | Adult swimming lessons
It’s never too late to learn how to swim, build water confidence or improve your technique with our learn to swim programme for adults.

We help people to love swimming and continue to improve. We always encourage and support our members to move at their own pace.

Learning to swim as an adult takes a lot of courage, many of our students tell us they wish they had done it years ago.

We offer adult beginners and improver lessons, as well as stroke technique classes, moving in water and our new social swim club.

🛝 | Play zone closure

Please note our play zone will be closed today between 12.00pm and 2.00pm due to a private party.

If you’d like your child to enjoy the play zone privately parties can be booked any day of the week (subject to availability).
Our play zone is set over five exciting floors, packed with fun activities including a mini climbing wall, ball pool, wave slide and helter‑skelter, perfect for younger children to burn off energy in a safe and secure environment. There’s even a separate under‑4s area with a mini slide and ball pit.

💼 | Job vacancy: Sports and leisure attendant

We are looking to recruit seven members of staff to join our team to work at Queen's Park Sports Centre with a variety of hours available including full and part time roles. Full details of available roles can be found by following the link below.

We require motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of our team carrying out general leisure attendant duties.

The duties involve ensuring customer safety at all times, lifeguarding, communicating effectively with members of the public and other staff, undertaking cleaning duties and setting up and dismantling sports equipment in a safe environment.

The successful candidate must hold a current Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS) Lifeguarding qualification and be highly motivated, flexible, and resourceful individual who can maintain a customer-focused approach to all our sport and leisure activities.

These vacancies require regular unsocial hours working, including availability at evenings and weekends.

💙 Family splash sessions at the Healthy Living Centre

Dive into a fun swim session filled with toys, floats and sinkers, perfect for families looking for an active, playful time in the pool. Children aged 8+ can attend alone if they can swim 50m confidently.

Join us on Thursdays 1.15pm to 2.30pm and Saturdays 2.15pm to 3.30pm.

Prices are £5.70 per adult, £4 per child, under 3s free, and £17.50 for a family ticket.
Please note: Splash sessions are not included in Active Fitness membership.
