Chichester parkrun

07/10/2026

Hi all, hope you are well. The weather has turned a bit chilly but I’m sure you will warm us with your generosity of spirit. We still have a few volunteer positions available namely a couple of timekeepers, marshals and that all important tailwalker.
Please let us know if you are able to fill any of these roles, either by replying to this post or emailing us at [email protected]

A massive thank you to Phil and her team for this Saturday’s event, the one that celebrated 22 years of parkrun.
I had the opportunity to visit Queen Elizabeth and Holyrood parkruns in the last couple of weeks, the takeaway from both is how parkrun really does bring out the best in people. On that note it’s that time of the week we do a shout out for volunteers, with an added incentive this week. We have the pleasure to announce the addition to the run director team of Martine Wisdom. Martine will be shadowing me this week and it would be a fantastic welcome for her to have a full volunteer roster. At present we have numerous options to choose from: timekeepers, marshals, tailwalker and barcode scanners.
If you are available please reply to this post or email us at [email protected]

Enjoy your week
Peter

Thank you to Wim Amir for this week’s run report and his poetic reflections on the day.

Happy Sunday, folks 🙂
Some more tutus from yesterdays’ parkrun!
Enormous thanks to our 29 volunteers, who were a complete ‘Dream Team’! Well done to our 330 walk-runners and those amazing milestones. We hope our tourists had a great time.
I’m handing over to Peter and Martine, who are your lovely RDs next week. Please do check out the roster for the empty volunteer slots.
Many thanks
Phil 🙂

Happy Wednesday everyone!
Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday (with your tutus on!) to celebrate parkrun 22nd birthday!

There’s a few volunteer roles that we need filling, pleaaaaasssse! At the moment we have only one Marshall and no Barcode scanners at all! We also only have one person doing close down and no report writer. Please do email in or reply, that would be much appreciated! And do let me know if you’re celebrating anything, that you want to share!

See you soon
Phil 🙂

Don’t forget no Chichester parkrun this week.

21/09/2026

Hi all, I hope you’re enjoying the extension to the summer. Just to remind everyone there will no Chichester parkrun this Saturday (26/9). The Chichester Falcons Softball club will be holding their annual competition for which we wish them well.
This will give everyone an opportunity to engage in a bit or running or volunteering touristing.
We will be back as normal on the 3rd October when Phil will be your RD, please, if you can, ensure she has a full volunteer roster.
