Tonight's training sessions were held in honour of our friend and fellow Judoka Wayne Porter who sadly passed away last week, both Colchester clubs send our love to his wife Cathy, Children Alesha and Aidan who are also Judoka at the clubs.
See you all tonight, it's the only judo club running in Colchester this week.
£20 SUMMER DEAL FOR NON MEMBERS
As you may know CJC will always welcome guests to their senior sessions and normally there is a waiting list for the junior class.
From Monday 20th July CJC open our doors to guests to both sessions, for £20 we are offering 6 Monday sessions upto and including the 24th August,
If your club is closed for the summer holidays or you fancy some extra training, this is the perfect opportunity to train with some new people and not get rusty.
All you need to do is turn up, Juniors 6.30pm and Seniors 7.30pm, pay £20, produce a current AJA, BJA or BJC license and enjoy a summer of judo.
Well done juniors, tonight we continued our Uchimata quest and worked on a combo as a backup technique, then we finished off with some solid newaza and randori.
Well done to Daniel and Jimmy for Judokas of the night.
A very warm senior session taken by Dan Cross, starting off with uchikomi and newaza drills, then also working on Uchimata to give our less experienced Judoka a taster of a beautiful throw.

Well done juniors, a continuation of last week's Uchimata, a truly brilliant lesson, everyone working extremely hard on what is a difficult technique.
We finished the session off with Newaza and randori. Well done to Emmie and Alex for Judokas of the night.
A great senior session taken by Neil, a good mix of uchikomi for all the different levels on the mat, followed up with nagekomi, then on to rollover techniques and finishing off with some solid newaza rounds.
