Yesterday, three of the Roam team volunteered at the Crawley Winter Warm Up at K2 Leisure Centre. ❄️🎾

We were tasked with running the bowls activity, welcoming attendees and helping people learn how to play. It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying themselves, with a few even considering taking up bowls as a new hobby!

With plenty of other activities taking place throughout the day, including Tai Chi, yoga, badminton and walking cricket, there was something for everyone to get involved in.

A brilliant day supporting the local community and bringing people together. 🙌

A great charging experience doesn’t stop when the chargers go live. ⚡🛠️

Behind every dependable charge is a team keeping everything running smoothly, from continuous performance monitoring and ongoing maintenance to 24/7 driver support.

It’s this ongoing care that helps destinations deliver reliable charging and gives drivers confidence whenever they plug in.

Because great EV charging isn’t just installed. It’s looked after.

☕💚 This morning, we held our Macmillan Coffee Morning at Roam HQ, with plenty of cakes and treats helping us raise money for a brilliant cause.

A big thank you to everyone who baked, bought, donated and got involved. It was great to bring the team together while raising money to support the important work Macmillan does for people living with cancer and their families.

Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

Good destination charging starts with understanding how people use a location. 📍

Some visitors might be staying for a longer workout, a relax in the Spa Retreat or a game of tennis. Others may only be dropping in for a group exercise class and a lunch with friends.

At David Lloyd Clubs in Purley, a mix of 22 kW charge points and rapid chargers demonstrates how different charging options can support different dwell times at the same destination.

Because the best charging experience is one that fits naturally around people’s day. ⚡

🌍⚡ World EV Day 2026: Switching electric and driving down the cost of motoring.

That’s the theme of this year’s World EV Day, shining a spotlight on one of the biggest considerations for drivers thinking about making the switch: cost.

From where you charge to the type of charger you use, several factors influence what it costs to run an electric vehicle.

Our latest guide breaks down the cost of charging at home and across the public network, compares EV charging with petrol and explores how drivers can get better value from every charge.

At Roam, we’re helping to make electric driving more accessible through competitive tariffs across our network, with further savings available through Roam Membership.

From launch, to a Top 10 charging location! ⚡⭐

Over a year ago now, we launched our Roam EV charging site at Holiday Inn Corby, with a mix of rapid and fast charging to support hotel guests, visitors and drivers passing through.

Fast forward to this summer, and the site has featured in not one, but two of Paua’s Top 10 lists - ranking among the most popular charging locations by number of sessions, as well as the locations delivering the most kWh. 👏

A great milestone for the site and another brilliant example of EV charging being used where drivers need it.

Take a look back at where it started. 👇

EV charging shouldn’t interrupt your day. It should fit naturally around it. ✨

While you work out.
While you check in.
While you’re at work.
While you’re at home.

That’s what destination charging is about. Putting the right chargers in the places people already spend their time, with the right mix of power, support and technology behind them.

At Roam, we work with hotels, leisure destinations, workplaces and residential communities to make charging feel like a natural part of the experience.

Because the best charging experience is often the one you barely have to think about. ⚡
