🎉 COMPETITION TIME! WIN TWO TICKETS TO LAST TRAIN HOME MUSIC & COMEDY FESTIVAL! 🎉
Some of you know we have an irregular newsletter that goes direct to inboxes roughly once a year. Well, with the dreaded social media algorithms making it harder to reliably get info out to our followers, we're going to try to make better use of it!
Our tiny team will be sending more news by email, in the hope that more of you will see what's happening before the events, rather than the day after!
It won't be tonnes of annoying marketing, just:
🤓 the occasional update to let you know what we're up to
🎤other exciting music and other arts are coming to our area courtesy of the fab music community and
🔖where you can nab tickets.
But of course, a newsletter is nothing without readers! So to try and get the next newsletter off to a good start, we're asking you to please subscribe, and maybe WIN.
📣 Head to our website (link in bio and in the comments), scroll to the bottom of the page, and subscribe to our newsletter. Anyone who signs up before 5pm on Monday 06 July will go in the draw to win TWO TICKETS to Last Train Home Festival! 📣

Thank you so much to everyone who came to Hark! The Sound of Stories: On Sycamore Gap last night.
Huge thanks to Staithe and Kate Fox: Stand-Up Poet for inviting us to bring On Sycamore Gap to Darlington, too, and for being their own support acts, along with Bridget Hamilton. (Congrats to the audience member who won a proof copy of her forthcoming book!) And of course thank you to our funders Community Rail Network Bishop Line Community Rail Partnership and also to Darlington Libraries as ever, for letting us turn the place into a candle-lit venue for the evening!
It was a truly special show, a proper laugh-and-cry cathartic and quite spiritual experience. It was never just a tree.
There are two more performances of On Sycamore Gap taking place this weekend (16 & 17 May) in Newcastle and Hexham. If you missed out last night, we really recommend trying to catch one of these. We'll drop a link in the comments.
