Donington Park — Weekend Summary
That brings our 2026 BSB season to a close, and it was great to finish it with another podium at Donington Park.
Lewis had strong pace from the start of the weekend, qualifying fifth — just 0.299 seconds from pole position. Race One was a thrilling battle from start to finish, with Lewis right in the fight at the front. On the final lap, he made a move into Melbourne. It did not quite come off and, after clipping Laken Payne’s back wheel, Lewis fell. That is racing sometimes when you are pushing for a result.
For Race Two, Lewis lined up P2 on the grid and got straight back into the fight. It was another proper four-rider battle at the front, with everyone taking their turn leading. Lewis brought it home in P3, only 0.317 seconds from the winner.
To finish the season fifth overall in the championship, on 228 points, means a lot to all of us. It has been a big year — our first BSB win at Thruxton, podiums, plenty of strong races and a lot of hard work behind the scenes.
We are a small team from Ireland, and none of this happens without the people who support us. A massive thank you to all of our sponsors, our crew, family, friends and everyone who has followed and backed Lewis and the team throughout the year.
We are proud of what we have achieved together this season. Plans for 2027 are already taking shape behind the scenes — and we will have more to share soon.

A busy 3 weekends concluded today with Lewis having raced in the latest rounds of the USBK championship at Kirkistown and Bishopscourt x2 to gain more experience on the R7 . He took part in 6 races over the course of the 3 weekends and took 6 wins in class 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆Considering the bike is restricted to junior sportsbike spec and under powered compared to the super twins it was all about improving his lap time and he done that with 1.13 lap time in his last race as he tried to hold on to the super twins. Well done to both clubs for an enjoyable few weekends racing. Up next we head to Donnington for the last round of Junior Sportsbike ………. 📸 Baylon McCaughey

THRUXTON | WEEKEND Round Up

A SPECIAL WEEKEND FOR DJ RACING 🏆

Thruxton was a weekend that will mean a lot to all of us at DJ Racing.
Lewis showed great pace from the start, finishing P4 in Free Practice before qualifying P6 on Saturday morning.
Race 1 was a brilliant battle. Lewis ran with the leading group throughout, led the race for a number of laps and eventually crossed the line in P3 to give us our first podium of the weekend.
On Sunday, starting Race 2 from P7, Lewis once again put himself right in the fight at the front. It came down to the very last corner, where he made the move to take the chequered flag and secure his first BSB victory — and the first BSB win for DJ Racing.
Two races, two podiums and our first win. 🏆
As Team Principal, I’m incredibly proud of Lewis and everyone involved with DJ Racing. We’re a small team from Ireland competing at a very high level in one of the most competitive championships in the world and to come away from Thruxton with two podiums and our first BSB win is something very special for all of us.
Weekends like this make all the hours, travelling and hard work worthwhile.
A massive thank you to all the lads in the garage and everyone who puts their time and effort into the team as without them this would never have happened. And of course we want to thank everyone at Elcofire for continuing to believe in and support what we’re trying to achieve.
And of course not forgetting all our other partners as without everyone's support we wouldn't be able to do it .
