🧘 Calming Routine 🧘

Back in February, we explored something a little different at Star Steppers. 💛
After noticing how many young people were feeling stressed, overwhelmed and anxious, we wanted to create something that went beyond dance steps and performance.
Using breathing exercises, the five senses, grounding, visualisation and mindfulness techniques recommended by the NHS, we choreographed a routine to ‘Then There Were Sparks’ by A Great Big World. 🎵
The aim was simple: to create something more than just a dance. A tool that people could remember and/or follow along to and be use during moments of stress, worry or anxiety.
Whether it’s exam stress, presentation nerves, performance anxiety or simply the pressures of everyday life, we hope this project reminds people to pause, breathe and reconnect with the present moment.✨
