Alvaston Park Lake has confirmed blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) due to weather conditions. These naturally occurring bacteria can produce fatal toxins harmful to both people and dogs. Derby City Council have erected signs around the lake. Please keep dogs on leads, and prevent pets from swimming in or drinking the water.

2 rods & reels stolen overnight while night fishing at Alvaston Lake. They are Daiwa Black Widow fishing rods and BP9 Nash Reels. Someone has to know where these are. If anyone gets any information on these or gets offered anything please let us know ASAP. It is members birthday today and he is absolutely heartbroken.
