PAWmula 1 Flyball

Another brilliant weekend in the books for Team PAWmula 1! 🐾🏁

We came away with 2nd place at Drax after our 7 team division ended up much smaller than expected, but we'll happily take it!

We managed the dogs well in the warm weather, everyone had a fantastic weekend, and there were plenty of great races and laughs along the way.

A big thank you to FOCUS for hosting another excellent competition. We also enjoyed watching England beat Norway to reach the World Cup semi finals on Saturday night at the Drax Social Club with fellow flyballers. ⚽🏆

Next up, a small team of us heads to Bradley Mills in a couple of weeks, and then it's on to the BFA Championships! Bring it on!

New PB for Maggie! 🚀

When you're already one of the fastest and most reliable dogs in the team, finding extra speed isn't easy. That's what makes this achievement even more special.

Maggie continues to show exactly why she's one of the cornerstones of our racing team – consistent, driven and always giving 100%.

This weekend we headed to the Barking 4 Balls competition at Osmaston Polo Ground.

It doesn't get much more local for us as a team, with only a 30 minute drive, so for a change we decided to day trip it rather than camp.

Outdoor flyball surfaces don't get much better than this. The ground was in fantastic condition and made for some great racing throughout the day.

The weather turned out to be much kinder than forecast and, with plenty of planning and management, we were able to keep all the dogs comfortable and happy despite the warm conditions.

We're delighted to have won our division, set a few new PBs along the way, and, most importantly, enjoyed a fantastic day of flyball with our dogs and teammates.

A big thank you to Barking 4 Balls for putting on such a well run event with a nice early finish. We had a brilliant time.

A huge well done to Autumn on achieving both her 100 point and 200 point BFA Junior awards at her last two competitions!

She's been a busy girl lately, always keen to help out, and it's been fantastic to watch her confidence grow with every event. At the last competition she even helped Mum handle, taking on a bigger role and throwing herself into the day.

We're incredibly proud of how much she's developing as a confident and valued member of the team. Keep up the great work, Autumn – we're excited to see what you achieve next! 💙🧡🐾

Congratulations to Winnie on achieving her BFA Flyball Dog Graduate award this weekend, reaching an impressive 3,000 points! 🎉

Every point represents countless recalls, box turns, training sessions, early mornings, and race runs, so this is a fantastic milestone to celebrate.

PB weekend! 🎉

Two of our girls smashed their personal bests this weekend and we're incredibly proud of them both.

🌟 Luna set a fantastic new PB of 4.92 on her very first Open competition with us – what a way to announce yourself!

🌟 Nellie wasn't to be outdone, lowering the PB she only set last week from 4.85 down to an impressive 4.70.

With our Captain Kahn having a rest we were led by our fabulous sub captain Amy & she did a brilliant job of it too. 👏

Friday started off with a splash & swim in the outdoor pool for Rossi, Enzo & Winnie 💦 Winnie needed a bit of coaxing in so Sarah & Amy got in the pool to encourage her 🥶
We followed that with our usual team BBQ 🍗 with team bbq chefs Shaun & John.

Saturday was race day with a new team line up of Winnie, Rossi, Nellie & Luna. The dogs raced their paws off, with clean runs and box turns with Autumn doing a fabulous job collecting all their balls 🥎 All dogs & handlers were cool, calm & collected throughout the day. 👏

Unfortunately no rosette this weekend but we had a fun weekend with the team & the lovely flyball community. 🩶🧡🩵
One last swim in the morning before heading home.
