🏆TEAM OF THE WEEK🏆
(from last week…)

A huge well done to these 9 players! Recognising the players who have put in the work, shown up and made an impact for their teams👏🏼

Dear footballer… ⚽️

Stop worrying about being the best player on the pitch.

Because talent might get you noticed, but your attitude is what helps you keep developing. 💙

Keep working. Keep learning. Keep showing up.

POWER & PERFORMANCE | CMJ TESTING🏆

Our boys and girls recently took part in a Countermovement Jump (CMJ) test, during our open evening, to measure their jump height and assess their explosive lower-body power.
The test involves players jumping from a standing position after a quick downward movement. The goal is to jump as high as possible…

Explosive power is an important physical attribute in football, contributing to movements such as sprinting, jumping and changing direction.

Their jump height was measure in centimetres, Swipe through to see how our boys and girls performed and where they ranked! 📊⚽

CONGRATS TO LIV!!! ❤️⚽️

From over 4 years at Elite to taking the next step in her football journey, Liv’s progress has been incredible to watch.

After a standout season last year, which saw Liv and her team lift the County Cup, Liv earned herself a place at SHEFFIELD UNITED ACADEMY following a successful trial!

We’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved Liv and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!

All the best with your next chapter! ❤️🖤

A proud moment for our Academy🏆

🏃‍♂️ GREAT NORTH RUN 2026 🏃‍♂️

On Sunday 13th September, Elite Academy Director Ben Mawson took on the Great North Run in support of our club charity partner, Cancer Research UK💙

What makes the achievement even more impressive is the journey behind it. Having never run more than a mile and never expecting to secure a place, Ben took the opportunity and absolutely smashed it!

After losing an incredible 3 stone over the last 18 months, Ben followed a dedicated training plan that saw him progress from his first mile taking over 17 minutes to regularly running at around 9:40 per mile in training.

On Sunday, he completed his first ever half marathon in an amazing 2 hours 35 minutes! 👏

A huge congratulations to Ben on an incredible achievement and for raising money for such an important cause🎗️

Arguably the most important night in Academy football… 🤝🏻

Last Tuesday, we hosted our Elite ‘Signing On’ Night at our partners and sponsors, highfieldcoffeesocial ⚽️

The evening brought together players, parents and coaches, both new and returning, to officially welcome our players into the Elite Academy.

We were also joined by Hill House School and UK SPD, who shared valuable support and advice around education and physical development for our young and aspiring athletes.

It was a brilliant evening starting the next step in our players’ journeys and we want to thank everyone who came along to celebrate!💙
