Before we start planning the next Regatta in earnest we wanted to take a moment to reflect back on the 2026 Regatta and the wonderful weekend that it was. The highlight being the Sunday evening Prize Giving where winning crews took to the stage to collect their pots and a word of congratulations from one of our guest presenters: ⭐️ Mr David Osborne DL, Deputy Lieutentant of County Durham, ⭐️ The Right Worshipful the Mayor of Durham Councillor Amanda Hopgood, ⭐️ Kate Culverhouse, The Banks Group.

It was wonderful to see so many happy, smiley faces enjoying themselves and sharing their successes with their friends and family 🥳 For us, as event organisers, there really is no better sign of a job well done 😊

We've compiled some highlights of the evening which can be viewed by clicking the link 👇

It's thanks to our hard working site team and volunteers that we're in a position to receive such positive feedback post Regatta. We're extremely grateful for all their effort and dedication 😀

We've litter picked the park, riverbanks, and racecourse this afternoon. It's great to see such a small amount of litter after such a large-scale event like the Durham Regatta. Thank you to everyone who helped keep it so tidy.

We've also replaced the binbags at the entrances of the park. The new grass is coming through well in the back corner and will be getting another treatment soon.

Our campaign to pause the sale of the former toilet block on site is still active. If you haven't already, please consider signing and sharing the petition https://c.org/TLfwq85tsw

Thank you

Huge thanks to The Banks Group as one of our key sponsors of this year's regatta. It was our pleasure to have them represented by Kate Culverhouse over the weekend and at our prize giving. Thank you!
