’Twas the night before the final day of the challenge,
And all through the group, there was barely a slouch;
The trainers were ready, the step counts were near,
And the end of our month long adventure was here.
For one month we’d marched through the rain and the sun,
Through walks and adventures, and challenges for fun;
We’d counted each footstep, each mile and each stride,
With personal targets and PBs on our side.
There were mini photo challenges, snapshots to share,
From walks in new places to scenes everywhere;
And every new picture would brighten the chat,
Along with the banter and plenty of that!
We’d chased our own targets, set records anew,
And shared in the fun of the things that we’d do;
For more than the numbers, one thing we all knew:
This month had been better because of the crew.
But tomorrow’s the finale, the very last day,
One final push before we can say:
“We did it! We finished! We gave it our all!”
Then finally, perhaps, we can rest from it all.
So watches on charge, and trainers nearby,
Tomorrow’s the day to give one final try;
One final day, one final stride,
Let’s see where our step counts can finish with pride!
So goodnight to the walkers, the banter, the crew,
To the PBs and targets we battled through too;
Tomorrow we finish, with one final display,
One month, countless steps… and one final day!
