Miles away, but they are still moving... 🙌
It might be holiday season, but our couch to 5K run club ladies haven’t missed a beat.
Trainers packed, they’ve been pounding pavements all over, from cruise ships in the Med to Budapest, Boston, Mallorca, and even some scenic staycations in the North West of the UK.
We absolutely love seeing them stick with their Couch to 5K journeys while soaking up new sights along the way.
And of course, we’ve kept a few Eastbourne faves in the mix, because, we’re pretty lucky to have such beautiful running backdrops right here in the Bourne 🥰🙌
Holidays are the perfect time to change things up, slow the pace, and move your body in ways that feel good, all while soaking up new environments and routines.
We’re big believers that rest matters too, so it’s all about finding that balance ⚖️, whether that’s a run with a view, a relaxed walk exploring somewhere new, or simply taking time to properly switch off 😌🙋🏻♀️
Behind the scenes, we’re also working on some 'home away from home' workouts vids for our app (coming soon 👀), to help our Chicks keep moving while they’re away, however that looks for them.
So... where is everyone off to soon?? ✈️🌴

We ❤️ running 🏃🏻♀️
We set out to create a run club for women that don't like running (yet). 7 weeks in, we can safely say that the love is starting to grow for so many of us ❤️
Each run, step, plod, sweaty selfie is proof that if you just keep going, something that felt out of reach, intimidating or scary, can through a sustainable, collaborative approach, start to feel very different 💗

The ChickBox Protein Powders Guide 💪 - read this before you try or buy ⬆️
We've been wanting to pull this together for a while, as we get asked a lot about protein, and are fed up with seeing such conflicting information, and women feeling persuaded into spending their precious pennies on trillions of protein products.
Protein supplements do have a place, especially for the busy woman, who is active or struggles to get it through their diet, but real food should always be the foundation Chicks 💗
We might have to do a collagen post too soon, as it's another question we often get asked. Do we need collagen supplements, well.. that is definitely up for debate 🤔

Sunday - this is how we roll 🏃🏽♀️🧘♀️
It started with another epic Sunday Chick Couch to 5K run club and then back to ChickBox for a gorgeous and much needed stretch out and reconnect on the mat 🧘♀️
A massive well done to all the ladies that just keep running, you are so inspiring, we missed those that couldn't make it, but those sweaty solo run selfies keep coming! 💪
A very special thank you to the lovely for treating us to a restorative yoga session, it was so lush and very much needed 😌
It was a great reminder in the value of taking the time to move slowly and reconnect with our inner wisdom 💫
It's there Chicks, if we pause for just long enough to let it guide you 💗

Most gyms profit from people not showing up 😡
Women are made to feel like they’ve failed when really… they were never properly supported in the first place.
We know first hand motivation isn’t enough. It is accountability that changes things Chicks!
Having coaches who notice when you go MIA 😥
A community that makes you feel comfortable, not judged and support that goes beyond just a workout.
That’s how consistency is built, & that’s how the results we see actually last. From our accelerator programme, to our check ins, community WA groups and just those quiet convos on the gym floor, we are here to train and help you get strong, fit & healthy...
But just as important, we're here to keep you progressing, through the smoother times and when life gets a bit tough too 💗💪

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and we’ve been thinking a lot about the connection between strength training and mental health. 💗💪🧠
Because something we see all the time at ChickBox…
Is that the biggest changes are rarely just physical.
Yes, of course women get stronger physically, their body composition changes, their diet changes...
But they also become more confident and resilient. More disciplined too and build more self belief! 💫
They kinda start trusting themselves again, and that all comes from doing things you didn't think were possible 🥰
There’s something really powerful about walking into a space where you feel supported, encouraged and like you belong, especially if you’ve spent years feeling uncomfortable in gyms. We know first hand just how powerful community is for belonging and keeping you consistent 💪💪💪
So, we know how powerful strength training is for the mind, because we see it everyday, but it's really reassuring to read the research backs this up too!
Basically, strength training changes bodies. But for soooo many women, it changes the mind first. ✨
