Congratulations to our very own Coach Callum Woods, who has been nominated for an award at this year’s sportscotland Awards 2026!

Callum started Chat on the Mat – The Men’s Mental Health Dojo – in April 2025. Since then, it has grown to 25 members in Leven and, earlier this year, was officially granted charitable status.

A fantastic achievement and well-deserved recognition for all the work Callum has put into supporting men through judo, conversation and community.

We’re all wishing him the very best — fingers crossed for a win! 🏆

P.S. We even managed to capture Callum hard at work 😉

🥋 DESTINATION JUDO GRADING — MOVING UP THE BELTS! 🥋

Our next Destination Judo grading is coming up, and we’re already looking forward to seeing our young judoka put their skills to the test! 💪

Closing Date : 3/10/26

Grading isn’t just about getting a new coloured belt. It’s a fantastic opportunity for children to experience the rewards of hard work, commitment and personal progress.

🥋 Builds confidence – Standing up in front of their coaches and demonstrating what they have learned can be a huge confidence boost.

🎯 Sets goals – Working towards the next belt gives children something positive to aim for and teaches them the importance of working towards a goal.

💪 Teaches perseverance – Not everything is mastered straight away. Judo teaches children to keep trying, learn from mistakes and never give up.

⭐ Recognises progress – Every belt represents the skills, knowledge and effort they have developed along their judo journey.

🧠 Develops focus and discipline – Grading encourages children to listen, concentrate and remember the techniques they have been practising.

❤️ Creates a sense of achievement – There’s something very special about seeing a child receive a new belt after putting in the work!

And perhaps most importantly, every child progresses at their own pace. There is no need to compare belts or grades with anyone else — the biggest achievement is seeing each child become a little more confident, capable and determined than they were before.

CLASH OF THE TITANS RUMBLE – FALKIRK

Sunday 15th November 2026

Our Rumbles are about more than medals and results.

They’re about giving children the chance to experience judo, build confidence, meet new people, try their skills with different partners and feel part of the wider Destination Judo community.

For some children, success might be winning a contest. For others, it might simply be stepping onto the mat, trying something new or coming away excited to do more judo.

That’s what the Destination Judo Rumble experience is all about.
