Not just 1 but 2! 🤩

🔴ICON No.40 & 41 SOLD🔴

We had a return customer travel up from England yesterday to try out our latest batch of ICONs for himself. After narrowing it down to 2 he decided he couldn’t split them….. so took them both!

ICON 040

A jet black Ebony butt with 4 lower splices of Black Leopardwood🐆, finished with thin red🔴 veneers making the ICON badge pop🤩! An aged Ash shaft and topped off with a Titanium ferrule.

ICON 041

This amazing 12 spliced ICON features splices of jet black Ebony⚫️, white Burlwood and 7 colour rosewood🌹, with the added extra of a matching mini butt🔥! Paired with a picture perfect Ash shaft it’s easy to see why he had to buy both!

Thanks again for travelling up and we hope you love your new Premium Cues ICON’s!🔴

🔴ICON No.037 SOLD🔴

This ICON did not stick around for long! Showcasing a very eye-catching design of alternating Amboyna🟡 and Ebony⚫️ splices with thick green🟢 veneers. Matched with a stunning top grade Ash shaft which on test was getting an amazing amount of reaction out of the cue ball, it’s clear to see why the customer snapped it up quickly!

🎱 WHEN SHOULD YOU CHANGE YOUR CUE TIP?

It’s one of those questions every cue-sports player eventually asks — and there’s no single right answer.

A tip doesn’t necessarily need replacing just because it looks worn, what also matters is how it plays.

Here are a few signs it might be time:

1️⃣ It keeps losing its shape.
If you’re constantly reshaping it and it won’t hold its profile, the tip may be getting too thin or worn.

2️⃣ You’re miscueing more often.
If your technique hasn’t changed but miscues suddenly become more frequent, your tip could be part of the problem.

3️⃣ The tip feels harder than it used to.
Tips can compress and harden over time. That can change how the cue delivers power, how easily chalk applies and how the tip grips the cue ball.

4️⃣ There’s not much tip left.
At some point, continued reshaping means you’re simply running out of material. Don’t wait until you’re playing on something the thickness of a postage stamp.😂

5️⃣ It no longer feels right.
This one is underrated. If you know your cue well, you’ll often notice changes in sound, feedback, grip and response before the tip looks obviously worn.

How often do you change your tip? Do you feel a big difference before and after changing?

Some weekend fun here at Premium Cues 🎱

Annie, Paul and Chris had a friendly competition of who could pot the balls in the least amount of attempts.

Two showed off some pretty impressive skills, and one reminded us that snooker isn’t always as easy as it looks! 😂
