I am really antisocial on walks. Surrounded by nature, listening to the birds and the water, noticing the smells, moving my body - it fills up all my senses and really allows me to just BE in a way that little else does. I am pretty averse to adding any sort of conversation on top of that, sorry kids π.
I feel satisfyingly tired, my brain is calmer, it's an essential reset for me.
Take me outside!

I shall never get used to the sound of my own voice π
Anyways, I thought I'd show you around inside Kiva&Zen Studios. It's tucked away near Darts Farm - you have to trust your sat nav, it will get you there! It hosts a lovely community of teachers, there are lots of classes you can try. Come have a go # # #

I have another job in a school which is mostly surrounded by building site at the moment. I found these wild flowers growing in a little leftover patch of space, they are so pretty!
It's Beltane this Friday, I'm planning to spend some time at my allotment, with some sort of simple ritual to embrace the spring and growing things.
Early Morning club and Yoga at both in tomorrow, spaces available. Join us?

Early Morning Club is back, hooray! Now as a monthly membership rather than for a specific block, so you can join anytime and cancel anytime.
I love these sessions; I usually rise early for my own Yoga practice but I love that once a week I get to practice with other people and just go with the flow. I always start with a plan, but take my cues from who is there and how they are showing up, what they need. It's a relaxed, gentle and supportive space.
So take this time for yourself, make the first thing you do in the morning something nourishing. Your day will flow more easily. See you in the morning? # # #

My small group class returns on Wednesday 22nd April for a 5 week block. I have reduced the maximum size to just 5 participants so I can maintain a high level of personal support for every person. So whether you've done lots of Yoga before / done a little / never tried, you are welcome! I meet you where you are, no pressure, no expectations.
Together we explore key postures and techniques, integrating the breath as a core part of the process. Learn to modify and adapt postures so that they work for you, so you can get the most out of your practice whatever your starting point.
I am in the process of switching my bookng system from an external site to my main website, so if you try to book and can't find it or make it work please just email me at [email protected] and I can reserve your space.

Do you know that feeling where life is just happening to you? When the illusion of control really falls away? Over the last week our cat got sick and a pothole turned a trip to see family into the stressful nightmare of trying to replace a wheel over a weekend 300 miles from home in order to get back for an MOT and the inevitable bill to fix everything else.
This beautiful fen sunset reminds me that we still had a lovely time. However instead of returning restored and with the capacity to promote my next block of Yoga offerings, I have spent the last two days mostly on the sofa watching kids TV with my youngest.
Today I will get outside to my allotment. It always helps my to feel better.
Early Morning Club and my small group class at restart next week, I have 3 1:1 spaces available and am hoping to restart Mini-Yogis in May.
More on all that soon, I promise!

I'd got used to the lighter mornings but the clock change means it's dark again, boo!
We're all running on fumes here, looking forward to the end of term. I wonder how many will make it to Early Morning club this week?!!!
If that really is too early you can join me at in the evening from 7pm with my wonderful small group class...
Individual lessons continue, if you've been meaning to book in and haven't then I do have more time available across the holidays, send me a message!

In Early Morning Club today I asked everyone to think of a feeling that they wanted to carry with them through today.
The word that came to me is Comfort. And that is my intention for today: to prioritise my own Comfort within and around all of things that need doing. To curate tasks that will allow and increase my comfort.
I've been unwell this past week, feeling much better but the urge to leap into action and catch up with everything will certainly send me backwards! So i will have to keep reminding myself to go slow. To choose Comfort. Softness. Slowness. Gentleness.
First on my list is this moment after the school run at .exeter which is my Wednesday ritual. Next: cleaning the house. This will definitely increase how comfortable I feel in my own home!
How would you like to feel today? How can you embody that as you move through the day? Can you orientated your day towards it?
Let me know how you get on x
