RDL vs. DEADLIFT

What’s the difference?

Both are great...but understanding how they actually differ is what makes them effective! Also..these two take PRACTICE. Don’t expect to master them overnight💪

RDL:
➡️Glutes + hamstrings
➡️Starts at the top (you begin + end standing)
➡️Push hips back
➡️Hinge + feeeeeel the stretch

Deadlift:
➡️Full body strength
➡️Starts at the bottom (bar on the floor)
➡️Push through the floor + pull with your upper
body to create full-body tension
➡️Hinge first, then bend the knees to finish

🎉 Meet May’s Member of the Month: Rich!

Rich has been showing up week after week with one goal, get stronger. And the results speak for themselves.

Working alongside his PT Ben, he’s been pushed hard. Some sets feel like pure torture, but he keeps coming back for more and the PBs keep stacking up. The latest? A massive 412kg on the leg press! 🤯

Whenever we’re giving a gym induction, this machine is often look upon with terrified eyes. To be fair, it does look like some sort of torture trap.

This machine, however, is our golden goose for leg gains. It can be set up in two distinct ways to perform leg extensions (which target your quads, the front of the leg) or leg curls (which target your hamstrings, the back of the leg).

Our PT will show you how to set up both in just over a minute.
