This summer... legends will be made. Friendships will be tested. Hamstrings will be pulled⬇️

Welcome to... THE OJ GAMES🏅🔥

Forget the Olympics. This is way more important.
Represent OJ Southernhay in the ultimate battle for bragging rights against the other OJ gyms👏

We’ve got:
🥚 Egg and spoon races (elite athleticism)
🏃 Sprint races (or enthusiastic jogging)
💑 Couple races (communication... or arguments)
💪 Tug of war (where everyone’s suddenly an expert).
...and loads more ridiculous events.

No experience needed.
No athletic ability required.
Only one thing matters...

WINNING🏆

Or at least beating the other OJ sites.

So if you’ve ever thought, “I reckon I’d dominate an egg and spoon race,” this is your moment🫡

We need Team Southernhay to show up, show off, and bring the chaos.

📩 Message us NOW to take part. Your gym needs you.
OJ Games. Glory awaits. Or at least a few sore legs and some top-tier banter💜

Why does one of our lat pulldown machines look a little…odd?

That’s because it’s actually a “diverging” lat pulldown, which has handles that are fixed to be pulled out in an arc, similar to the capital letter“A”. This targets the lower segments of your back!

Easy to set up. All you need to do is adjust the leg support so you’re anchored in place during the lift, set your weight, grab the handles and hoist ‘em down.

One quick tip: stop pulling once you reach your head. Go beyond this point and your triceps start to lead the lift, as it turns into some sort of pseudo-dip. Keep the tension on your lats at all times.

After a new horizontal pull exercise? Look no further than our newest machine, the plate-loaded low row: designed specifically to build width and strength in your upper and mid back.

All you need to do is load your weight, adjust your seat to align with your upper abdomen, and grip the handles (neutral grip gives biceps and forearms dominance, overhand grip focuses more on the lats).

Hoist the handles back while keeping your core tight and chest held up. We want to imagine that we’re putting the handles “in our pockets”.

The machine has independent arms, meaning we can pull both handles at the same time or do one side at a time.

Stick around long enough in our gym, and you’ll come across a term called a “superset”. What does it mean?

“superset” is the term used to describe when you do two exercises, back to back, with no rest between. You do movement A, movement B, and then you take your rest.

There are plenty of popular supersets online, and endless combinations you can make yourself. Here’s one loves to do with his clients: the tricep pushdown/bicep curl superset 💪
