We were delighted to be featured on BBC Cornwall last week, as Sports presenter Ross Ellis spoke with County No.1 Jeanne Naylor and Cornwall Squash & Racketball Secretary Matthew Stone. Jeanne and Matt are both coaches at Falmouth!

The LTA Cornwall Summer League kicks off this coming week. Below are all the (planned) home matches. 6.30pm start. Come and support our players and enjoy a drink or two from the bar 🎾💪🍻 🏆

Three of Falmouth Sport Club’s squash players and coaches have been selected to play for Cornwall in the national inter-couties competition.

Jonny Newton, Matthew Stone and Huw Gibbon all made the line up against Devon and Gloucester, playing at the D+E club in Exeter. Also picked were Max from Newquay and Steve from Truro. They were against tough opponents, but everyone played well – each match being incredibly close. Huw got some super victories playing at 5th string!

Huw has recently achieved his England Squash Level 2 Coaching Award (Player Development Coach) – a fantastic accomplishment and a great asset to our club.

This qualification further strengthens Falmouth’s ability to deliver high-quality, tailored coaching sessions for both juniors and adults. Huw regularly coaches our junior section on Saturday mornings, supports weekday sessions, and steps in for Matt to lead Monday team training.

Junior Squash at Falmouth

Our junior squash programme welcomes children from age 4 and up, offering a fun, supportive introduction to the game.

Squash is a brilliant way for children to:

• Improve fitness, coordination, and concentration
• Build confidence and resilience
• Enjoy fast-paced, engaging sessions with friends

Through regular coaching, tournaments, and social events, juniors develop their skills while becoming part of a vibrant club community.

All sessions are built around fun games and activities, with small, supportive groups to ensure every child feels encouraged and included.

Current Availability

We currently have spaces available in:

Mini Squash Stars (4-5 years)
Monday, 4:15–5:00pm

Foundation Group
Thursday, 4:00–5:00pm
Saturday, 9:00–9:45am
