🔴⚫️MATCH REPORT🔴⚫️

Freckleton FC 3–3 Chipping FC

Another card-heavy encounter, with plenty of goals and entertainment!

Chipping took an early 1–0 lead, but the Freck lads showed great character to fight back and go into half-time 2–1 ahead!

The second half was just as entertaining, with plenty of drama, multiple yellow cards and a red card for either side. Despite the chaos, the lads kept their composure to take a valuable point away against promotion-chasing Chipping.

A special mention to Will Powell, who once again put his body on the line, producing some unbelievable one-on-one saves!

⚽ GOAL SCORERS

* Ric Thomlinson
* Charlie Swindlehurst
* Courtney Skerritt

There are plenty of positives to take from yesterday’s performance. Moving up to 6th place, with games in hand, is something the Freck lads could only have dreamed of last season.

The progress is there for everyone to see. The lads are starting to get the rewards for all their hard work, and there's plenty more to come!

Next up, the lads travel away to Stoneclough for the next round of the Lancashire Amateur Shield. Another big game awaits!

⚽ FRECKLETON RESERVES 3-3 PRESTON CITY⚽️

Preston City win on penalties

An outstanding performance from our Reserves this afternoon! 👏

The lads showed tremendous determination, commitment and togetherness, getting stuck in from the first whistle and taking a very strong Preston City side all the way to penalties.

Although it wasn’t to be our day in the shootout, the performance, quality of football and fighting spirit shown by every single player is something to be incredibly proud of.

The result may not have gone our way, but there’s plenty of positives to take away. Heads held high, lads – a performance to build on! 💪

🏆 MOTM – JOHNATHAN HODGE
