At the same time our K&D League teams take on Cumbernauld, so there are plenty bowls on to go along and support if you are able.

Bowls Scotland results update:

By and large a good day for our gents today. In the afternoon in the all Lenzie tie at Banton & Kelvinhead, Alan Laurie's rink managed to overcome the challenge of Willie Milne's four in a game where only 16 shots were scored in the 15 end game. Whilst there was an 11 shot score difference, this clearly did not reflect how tight the game had been. Congratulations and commiserations to all.

The evening games saw wins for our Under 25 Singles, the Triples and Fours, meaning that so far we have representation in 8 of 14 ladies and gents disciplines at District semi-final stage, with possible 2 more to be added.

Drew Cunningham's game in the Singles was not played due to green conditions, with arrangements in place to complete the fixture on Monday coming.

At Lenzie, seven fixtures were held today, with some great contests, and these saw wins for -

Milton of Campsie in the Over 55s Singles
Condorrat in the Over 55s Fours
Westermains in the Under 25s Singles
Milton of Campsie in the Singles
Kirkintilloch in the Pairs
Westermains in the Triples
Campsie in the Fours

Well done to all involved.

There's lots of Bowls Scotland action today for the Club, starting this afternoon -

At 1.00p.m at Banton & Kelvinhead Bowling Club, we see an ALL Lenzie tie in the Over 55s Fours -

Tom Dow, Eric Archibald, David Wood and Alan Laurie, will play Rob McIlear, Iain Hamilton, Gordon Baird and Willie Milne.

A District semi-final place is at stake, but guaranteed for the Club. We wish both teams well for a great game.

This evening, starting 6.45pm -

Under 25s Singles - Michael King makes his first outing in this year's competition and we wish him well as he takes on Abronhill at Banton & Kelvinhead.

Singles - Drew Cunningham continues his campaign, taking on Mark Smith from Campsie, at Auchinloch

Triples - Andrew Taylor, Colin Dow and Calum Kidd play Greenfaulds at Banton & Kelvinhead

Fours - Gavin Ansari, Ben Major, Scott Cunningham and Steven Dow take on Kirkintilloch at Condorrat

All this, and we host other quarter finals on our own green this afternoon and evening - it should be a great day of bowls. Good luck to all involved.
