Yesterday was a special day Hamilton Golf Club - Riccarton for our kids Academy with the annual prize giving. It marked the end of another busy season with lots of kids finding their way in this great game. 🏌🏻‍♂️🏌️‍♀️⛳️

Sadly, it also marked the end of an era for the Academy. After 15 years of unwavering support, club member, Gary Thomson, has decided that this was his last season in his role within the junior section of the club. Gary has been instrumental in shaping the Saturday Academy into what it has become for our junior golfers over the years. His commitment and enthusiasm to the club, kids, and junior golf at Hamilton Golf Club will be sorely missed. I’m sure I’m not alone in thanking Gary for the time and energy he has given to us all over his time within the academy.
👏👏

A huge thanks to the full team of helpers who make the Academy run smoothly every week. We as a club are fortunate to have such a great group.

This week was a fantastic experience for Hamilton Golf Club - Riccarton junior member Finlay Neill.

Finlay had qualified for the Faldo Future Series finals at The Belfry this week as part of the DP Tour British Masters.

Finlay took part with 47 other finalists in his age category and finished in a tremendous 13th place, 5 shots behind the winner.

The day was finished off with a clinic by Nick Faldo. What a great experience to meet and learn from a multiple major winner. 🏆

Well done Finlay, all your practice is paying dividends for you. More importantly though, your having great fun and enjoying this great game, 👏⛳️🏌🏻‍♂️
