We're proud to have hosted Thorpey's Bat and Chat this season, working with Mind in Harrogate District to bring people together each week. Hearing what it's meant to people who took part, has made this one of the most rewarding things we’ve been involved with
We’ve had players of all abilities attending, with some even getting back into club cricket and returning to playing competitively

Thanks to funding through Mind's Thorpey’s Bat and Chat programme, we’ve been able to create something a little different in Harrogate - bringing people together through cricket to help reduce isolation, build confidence and support better mental health.
It didn’t matter whether someone had played for years or had never picked up a bat. What mattered was having a welcoming place to turn up, meet people, have a chat and feel part of something.
As the first season comes to an end, we’ve looked back at why we started the project, the difference it’s made and the people who made it happen. 💙
