Following several recent incidents, we'd like to remind everyone that **lighting fires, BBQs or disposable barbecues anywhere on the Box Moor Trust estate is strictly prohibited.**

The current dry conditions mean that even a small flame or discarded ember can quickly become a devastating wildfire.

A fire doesn't just damage the landscape – it can:
🌿 Destroy precious habitats and wildflowers
🦋 Kill insects, birds and other wildlife
🐑 Put our grazing livestock at serious risk
🌳 Cause long-lasting damage to trees, grassland and nature that can take years to recover

If you see anyone lighting a fire, or spot smoke or flames, please report it immediately by calling **999** and, where safe to do so, let the Trust know on **01442 253300**.
