Good outing for the HMAC Junior Squad at the weekend going 3-1 at ππΌ
First up was Cailen, making his 3rd appearance in the cage. Great shot selection on the feet, excellent takedowns and strong top control saw Cailen take a comfortable unanimous decision win. ππΌ
Next was young Riley. Not many people want to stand with Riley and this fight was no different. He looked good on the feet but unfortunately got caught in a triangle.
A great learning experience and more valuable cage time in the bank. Riley will be back stronger !
3rd up was Ross T. After some tough early tests in his MMA journey, Ross is really starting to find his feet. Sharp on the feet and dangerous everywhere, he secured an arm-in guillotine finish for two solid back-to-back wins. His future opponents have a tough puzzle to solve! π₯
Last up was Rikki Logie against a strong, physically developed opponent. Rikki applied his trademark pressure from the opening bell, landing heavy combinations and forcing his opponent to shoot.
Rikki capitalised on the takedown attempt, securing another arm-in guillotine victory for himself and the team. Great win! ππΌ
A massive shoutout to mikey logie for the work he has been putting into the Junior Squad lately. Mikey has been sacrificing time away from work, travelling up and down the country, matchmaking, coaching and cornering the young team.
A lot of this work happens behind the scenes, but it makes a huge difference. The squad are lucky to have someone willing to put so much time and effort into helping them develop. ππ»
