🏏 WEEKEND ROUND-UP — WHAT A WAY TO FINISH THE SEASON! 🏆

What a weekend for Kendal Cricket Club, with three senior wins, a first-ever century for Niamh Muir and League Cup glory for the 1st XI! 👏🔥

1st XI — NPL DIVISION 1
The 1st XI finished their league campaign in style with an impressive 42-run victory over newly crowned champions Netherfield.
Kendal posted 210 all out, with 16-year-old Charlie Bentley showing maturity beyond his years, batting brilliantly for 43*.
The bowlers then did their job, sharing the wickets as Netherfield were bowled out for 168 to secure a fantastic win.
⭐ Player of the Match: Charlie Bentley — 43*

2nd XI — WL DIVISION 2
Another excellent away victory saw the 2nd XI beat Sedgwick by 4 wickets.
The bowlers shared the wickets to dismiss Sedgwick for 113, before Terry Hunte once again led from the front with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 45* to guide Kendal home.
A huge 12-point haul for Taylor Finch’s side! 👏

WOMEN & GIRLS
Sunday brought another dominant performance from the Women & Girls team as they defeated Carnforth by 157 runs in their final home game of the season.
The day belonged to Niamh Muir, who smashed her first-ever century, finishing unbeaten on 101*. 🙌💯
There was also a first 50 for the club for Grace Airey, who contributed an excellent 64.
Kendal then bowled Carnforth out for just 85 to collect the full points.
🎯 It all sets up a huge showdown with Blackpool at Stanley Park next weekend, with the title on the line!

🏆 NPL LEAGUE CUP FINAL
And then came the big one…
KENDAL ARE LEAGUE CUP CHAMPIONS! 🏆
The 1st XI lifted the NPL League Cup for the first time since 2012, beating Chorley by 8 wickets in a superb final.
A brilliant bowling performance restricted Chorley to 131, with Vishva Chathuranaga the pick of the attack, taking an outstanding 3-15, including a hat-trick! 🔥
There was also a huge personal milestone for Chris Miller, who claimed his 1,000th 1st XI wicket — an incredible achievement. 👏🎯
Then came the chase…
After losing a couple of early wickets, Vishva Chathuranaga took control with the bat, smashing an unbeaten 93* to take Kendal over the line before the 20-over mark.

SPECTATOR GUIDE FOR SUNDAY'S CUP FINAL.
Information from Carnforth CC.

The club car park LA5 9EA will be strictly marshalled on the day, it is for players and officials only.
No other private cars should be driven up Albert Street as this will lead to obstructions for the emergency services; no vehicles are to be parked on Albert Street or on its extension past the net cage and up to the caravan park.

Vehicles can be parked on the access road to the small industrial
estate, access to this is by heading towards Tesco then bearing left,
the owner of the access road has told us that parking is permitted on the day and that cameras will not be in use. We have taken this
information in good faith but cannot be responsible if there are any
problems. The Tesco car park has a strict three-hour time limit. There is a limited amount of street parking close to the ground.

1st XI 🆚 Netherfield
The 1st XI play their final league game of the season, making the short trip across town to take on the newly crowned champions, Netherfield.

2nd XI 🆚 Sedgwick 2nd XI
The 2nd XI make the trip to Sedgwick looking to bounce back after last weekend.

1st XI 🆚 Chorley – League Cup Final

🏆 CUP FINAL DAY! 🏆

The 1st XI take on Chorley in the League Cup Final, with the game being played at Carnforth.
Come along and get behind the lads as they look to bring home some silverware! 🏆💚

🏏 Weekend Round-Up

A mixed weekend for Kendal CC, with the 1st XI and 2nd XI both losing on Saturday, while the 1st XI bounced back in style with a commanding victory on Bank Holiday Monday.

1st XI – NPL Division 1

Kendal CC 241 all out 🆚 Chorley 119 all out
Kendal won by 112 runs
A superb all-round performance from the 1st XI!

Ashwin Hebbar led the way with a fantastic 64, supported by Finlay Richardson (54) as Kendal posted 241.
With the ball, wickets were shared with sub pro Ashwin Hebbar the stand out picking up 3-1 as Chorley were bowled out for 119.
Player of the Match: Ashwin Hebbar – 64 runs and 3-1!

2nd XI – WL Division 2
Kendal CC 153-8 🆚 Kirkby 215-7
Kendal lost by 62 runs
A difficult afternoon for the 2nd XI despite some good individual performances.
Syed Ashraf top-scored with an unbeaten 44, with Zaydpan Bhamji adding 29.
With the ball, Syed Ashraf (2-24) and Taylor Finch (2-39) picked up two wickets apiece.

NPL Division 1

Kendal CC 183 all out 🆚 Blackpool 112-3
Blackpool won by 7 wickets (DLS)
A frustrating result for the 1st XI after posting 183, with Ikram Ullah (43) and Max Winskill (32) leading the scoring.
