In the design studio: Serene Stone Retreat

We’re currently developing this bespoke bathroom with one of our clients, and we couldn’t resist sharing a first look at where it’s heading.

The brief was simple: a space that feels calm, considered and timeless. The design centres on a carved sandstone freestanding bath, set against textured limestone walls. A floating light oak vanity and a stone vessel basin bring warmth, and a backlit round mirror softens the light. Brushed brass fittings, a walk-in rainfall shower and seamless microcement flooring tie it all together.

At this stage, every finish is being refined alongside the client, from the grain of the oak to the tone of the brass. The detail work matters here: it’s what turns a good bathroom into one that feels truly personal.

The man who started it all! Rich is the Founding Director of Fix, which began as a one man operation with just him at the helm. Fast forward to today and he’s more driven than ever to see the business succeed, with that ambition helping drive Fix forward every day.

Rich has played a huge part in creating our culture, building a workplace where people feel valued and love being part of the team. That same people first approach shines through in his fantastic customer service skills, making sure customers feel looked after every step of the way. He’s also something of a spreadsheet warrior, there isn’t a formula in the book that he doesn’t know! 📊😂

From a man with a vision to the team and business we have today, Rich continues to push Fix forward while making sure the people behind it remain at the heart of everything we do. 👏

This week our developments team and Fix Plumbing and Heating have been working side by side on this kitchen and bathroom uppgrade, fiest fix, second fix and the builders’ work all sequenced by the same people, on the same programme.

Got the whole front end team from our Developments division together this week for a Joblogic training session.

Everyone using the same system properly makes a real difference on site. Job tracking, reporting, all of it easier when the whole team’s up to speed rather than a few people winging it.

Good to see the lads getting stuck into it, pizza helped too.

Mr Organisation himself! Liam is the Co-Director of Fix Developments, playing a key role in driving the business forward and making sure there’s a plan for pretty much everything 📋

His years serving in the RAF have given him a fantastic foundation of leadership, discipline, attention to detail and the ability to stay calm when things don’t quite go to plan. All skills that have transferred brilliantly into running the business.

A natural leader, a steady head and probably the most organised person in the building. we’re lucky to have Liam helping lead the team to the next level 🚀

A Swiss Army knife of the plumbing and heating game, there’s no challenge too big or too complex for Jamie. With a wealth of technical knowledge and fantastic customer service skills, Jamie has a real knack for finding the right solution while making sure clients feel looked after throughout a project 🤝

But Jamie’s role doesn’t stop on the tools. As the Plumbing & Heating Director, he also oversees the entire operation, driving high standards and ensuring that customers receive the exceptional service that they have to come to expect ✨

If there’s a job to be done, a hand needed or something that needs sorting, you can pretty much guarantee Cedric is already on his way. Wherever help is needed, he’s there. On site, out and about or somehow managing to be in two places at once 😅

Cedric has been such a great addition to Fix. He’s the ultimate team player, always ready to step up when needed and with a fantastic attitude. We’re excited to see him continue to grow with the team! 📈

Two different sites. Two very different projects. Same standards.

We’ve currently got teams working across both MKM Stadium and a school project in Bridlington, and although the projects are completely different, one thing stays the same — how we set up and manage our sites.

Good health & safety isn’t just about ticking boxes. It’s about creating a safe, organised environment for our teams, other contractors and everyone using the site.

From secure site setups and clear signage to keeping work areas clean, controlled and properly managed, the standards shouldn’t change depending on where we’re working.
