So as the bulldosers demolish the pavilion, a look back at the original, constructed in 1939 and a look forward to our exciting new home for Spring 2027!!

The clubhouse was built in sections at the Booths Hall workshops by Jack Sharp and brought to the ground on Dick Willett’s horse and cart. When they arrived, the ‘Haha’ blocked access, so they quickly made a bridge using the pavilion’s side panels. With plenty of helpers, the building went up fast, though it took a few days to make it fully waterproof while hundreds of cedar roof tiles were nailed on.
Our new pavilion, designed by architect David Rees will provide modern facilities that will propel the Club forward as we prepare for our centenary in 2028!
We will keep you posted on the build a it happens...
