Isabella has been part of the team since just after New Year 2025, joining us during our first season of 11-a-side football. ⚽️ A creative, forward-thinking midfielder, Isabella is always looking to make things happen. With her excellent vision and passing ability, she has a real knack for finding that brilliant pass into space and creating opportunities for her teammates. 🎯 More recently, she’s added goals to her game too - opening her account in style with her first goal in the Stenhousemuir Derby! ⚽🔥

It’s a quick turnaround for the Stenhousemuir Juggernauts as we look to bounce back from Sunday’s last-minute defeat, travelling to face Bannockburn in our rearranged league fixture. 🔄

We’ve faced Bannockburn several times already, with each meeting proving to be a closely contested battle. The team have managed to get the upper hand in those previous encounters, but we know another tough test awaits us on Friday night. 🌌

With the league table beginning to tighten up, there’s plenty at stake. A positive result on Friday would strengthen our push for a place in the top half ahead of another huge game on Sunday. 📊

Supporters Player of the Day goes to... Freya Elgie! 👏⚽

A fantastic performance from Freya and she has been in brilliant form since returning after the summer, and today was another example of what she brings to the team.

Her link-up play was excellent throughout, whether it was making runs in behind, picking the right moment to release a pass or getting herself into dangerous positions inside the box.

She was incredibly unlucky not to get her name on the scoresheet in the first half, striking both the post and the crossbar with two efforts from inside the area. 🎯

One of the most impressive parts of Freya’s performance was her versatility. Across the game, she featured as a striker, on the left wing, in attacking midfield and even dropped into a holding midfield role contributing wherever the team needed her.

A complete performance and a thoroughly deserved Supporters’ Player of the Match! 👏🏆

Peony did it all today and somehow managed it while feeling unwell! 💪

A brilliant performance at the back, recovering superbly when needed and staying calm and composed when playing out from defence.

Knowing the opposition were looking to go long, Peony read the game brilliantly, dealt with the danger and produced some vital blocks to stop shots that looked destined for goal. 🛡️

Strong. Composed. Intelligent. Brave.

A thoroughly deserved Player of the Match performance.

Late heartbreak as the Warriors are denied in Dunblane. 📰

Stenhousemuir Girls U14s travelled to face Dunblane Navy in our return fixture, looking to settle the score after the result on Matchday One. 1️⃣

Trips to Dunblane have never been straightforward for us. We’ve always struggled to get the better of them away from home on the Astro, with last season’s cup penalty shootout providing one memorable exception. 🧤⚽️

So the message before kick-off was simple: Let’s go and get our revenge.

Dunblane started on the front foot and immediately looked to cause problems with long ball after long ball. Eventually, one stuck. Their striker raced through, rounded the goalkeeper and finished to give the hosts an early 1-0 lead. 🙁

But going behind seemed to spark Stenhousemuir into life.

We began to impose our high-pressing game, refusing to allow Dunblane time to play out from the back and putting pressure on their attempts to go long. The equaliser soon followed. 👀

A Stenhousemuir corner was cleared only as far as the edge of the box, where Niamh unleashed a low rocket towards goal. The Dunblane keeper could only parry it, and Bonnie was exactly where she needed to be, tapping home the rebound. 1-1! 👏

The pressure didn't stop there.

Another corner caused problems for the Dunblane defence, with Scarlett’s delivery finding its way into the middle of the six-yard box. Karla reacted quickest, getting a toe to the ball and steering it into the bottom corner. From 1-0 down to 2-1 up! 💥

Unfortunately, just before the break, a gap opened up in the Stenhousemuir defence and Dunblane took full advantage, finding the equaliser to send the teams in level.

Half-Time: Dunblane Navy 2–2 Stenhousemuir Under-14's 🤝

Dunblane took control for a spell at the beginning of the second half, but despite having more of the game, there was little to seriously trouble the Stenhousemuir defence.

As the half progressed, we began winning turnovers again and found ourselves getting into some dangerous positions in front of goal. Then came the game's biggest talking point..

A ball through from midfield was chased down before a Dunblane defender played it back towards her own goalkeeper. The ball went through the keeper’s legs and Kayla was there to tap it home!

Celebrations started... But the referee’s whistle went.

Offside. No goal. 🚩

It was a decision that left plenty of people on the sidelines baffled, and instead of Stenhousemuir having a 3-2 lead, the game remained level heading towards the final whistle. 🫣

And football can be cruel. And it was a Doomsday Scenario.. 😲

With virtually the last action of the game, Dunblane won a corner. The ball was delivered into a crowded penalty area, a scramble followed and a Dunblane player managed to force it home. 3-2 Dunblane.

There was barely any time left to respond. A heartbreaking ending for the girls. 🥺

Everyone was gutted at full-time, and understandably so. It was a game that could have gone either way and one huge moment in the second half could have completely changed the outcome.

Instead, our bogey team found a way to punish us right at the death.

But there were plenty of positives to take. After falling behind early, the girls responded brilliantly, pressed aggressively, fought their way back into the match and turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead.

Sometimes football just doesn’t give you the ending your performance deserves.

Our first-ever Player of the Month Award for 𝘼𝙐𝙂𝙐𝙎𝙏 goes to... Freya Walsh! 👏⚽

Freya has been a model performer within the team, excelling across all four areas we look for - Attendance, Attitude, Performance & Improvement.

Throughout a hectic August, Freya’s commitment has been outstanding. She attended all of our sessions across the month, from gym sessions and training to matches, while also giving her time to help coach our Mini Maroons. 👏

On the pitch, she has continued to impress from left back, helping the team to a clean sheet and even picking up an assist during a month packed with games! ⚽💪

After a tough end to the first half of the season through injury, Freya has put that firmly behind her. Her performances since returning have been outstanding, and the improvement we’ve seen on the training pitch shows just how hard she works - both for herself and for the team.

A thoroughly deserved winner of our very first Player of the Month Award! 🏆

Stenhousemuir Community Foundation - Girls Under-14's are back in league action this Sunday!

After the weekend’s fixture was postponed, the girls are ready to get going again as we look to continue our league form and build on what was an important derby-day victory last time out.

The league table continues to twist and turn, setting up a very interesting few weeks ahead with plenty still to play for. This weekend we face Dunblane SC Navy.

The sides last met on the opening day of the season, when Dunblane ran out 5-0 winners. We knew one result wouldn’t define our season, and a lot of football has been played since then.

Now we have the opportunity to show how far we’ve come, put in another strong performance and hopefully right a few wrongs from opening day.

A big challenge awaits. 💪⚽

What a week it’s been!

These girls have been incredible. The amount of effort, energy and willingness to learn they bring every single day has been brilliant to see. No matter the opposition, the travelling or the tired legs, they just keep going and keep developing. 💙

Another busy week completed and another load of valuable minutes and experiences under their belts.

The Stenhousemuir Juggernauts continue their journey next week as we head to Bannockburn! 🚂⚽

But for now, it’s back to our normal schedule - and maybe a well-earned rest! 😅
