ππ Geography came to life for our Year 8 pupils as they headed into Leicester city centre to investigate the impact of regeneration on the local area.
Visiting four locations across the city, pupils conducted observations, surveys and interviews with members of the public, gathering valuable primary data to assess the social, economic and environmental effects of regeneration. The trip provided a fantastic opportunity to apply classroom learning in a real-world setting while developing key fieldwork, communication and analytical skills.
To round off a successful day, pupils put their teamwork and competitive spirit to the test with a Ryder Cup-style mini golf competition at Treetop Golf! β³π
A fantastic day of learning beyond the classroom, combining academic enquiry with plenty of fun along the way.

ποΈ New ISA Podcast: Practical Insights on School Inspections and Leadership
School inspections can often feel like a high-pressure performance rather than a reflection of everyday school life. In the latest episode of the ISA Podcast, our Headmistress, Mrs Christina McCullough, joins ISA inspectors and educational leaders to discuss navigating the evolving inspection landscape with confidence.
The conversation explores the new F23 inspection framework, current national trends, common regulatory considerations, and how school leaders can prepare strategically and authentically for inspection. Importantly, it also highlights the human side of the process, including supporting staff wellbeing and maintaining a strong school culture before, during and after an inspection.
This episode offers practical, reassuring and insightful guidance for school leaders, governors and educators alike.
