🏆 Club Championships & Westmoreland Cup 2026 🏆

What a brilliant weekend of golf here at Blankney!

Over two days and 36 holes, our members competed in this year’s Club Championships and Westmoreland Cup, with the Gross and Nett titles decided after an exciting weekend.

Congratulations to Alan Long, who was crowned 2026 Club Champion, finishing with two consistent rounds of 75 and 75 for a total of 150 (+6) to take the Gross title.

The Westmoreland Cup proved to be a much tighter contest, with the Nett leaderboard remaining close throughout the weekend. James Mackinder claimed the title with a superb 139 (-5), finishing just one shot ahead of Alan Long on 140 (-4).

The clubhouse had a fantastic atmosphere across both days, with members following the scores as they came in and showing their support right through to the presentations.

A special thank you goes to Nigel Saunders, who did a fantastic job hosting the weekend. From welcoming every competitor onto the first tee on both mornings to keeping everything running smoothly throughout the competition, his enthusiasm and commitment helped make the weekend such a success.

Congratulations once again to Alan, James and everyone who took part. Thank you to all of the members who helped make another memorable Club Championships and Westmoreland Cup. We look forward to doing it all again next year! ⛳🏆

What a fantastic weekend of golf!

Played over two days and 36 holes, our Ladies Club Championship brought together three prestigious competitions in one, with some outstanding golf on display throughout.

🥇 Ladies Club Champion (Best Gross Score) – Gil Barker

🌟 Felton Trophy (Best Gross Score – Lady Over 65) – Gil Barker

A huge well done to everyone who took part in this gruelling two-day competition. Your commitment, determination and sportsmanship made for a fantastic championship weekend.

Following the prize presentation, our competitors enjoyed a well-deserved treat of fresh strawberries and cream, accompanied by a celebratory glass of prosecco. 🍓🥂
