Nettleham FC Juniors U7-U18

A GRANDSTAND FINISH TO THE SEASON FOR OUR U13's!!

It’s been a very busy few weeks for the u13s trying to get all our league games played before the end of the season.
We narrowly missed out on the league finishing 1 point behind league champions Kirton Town, and tied on points with Keelby Utd in 2nd spot, which led to a very tight mid lincs A league.

Credit to the boys they have finished the season strongly and haven’t lost since the 28th September with only 2 draws. They have also had some great experiences playing on Wyberton & Skegness Town 1st pitches over the last few weeks.

Sunday was the mid Lincs u13s league cup final against newly crowned league champions Kirton Town.

Some sloppy play at the back saw us go 1-0 down in the first 30 seconds, the boys rallied and credit to Kirton who put the boys under intense pressure.
Good play from Jace & Max N saw Isaac go through to make it 1-1, excellent work by Seb who dug out a cross and Isaac scored again from a tight angle to make it 2-1 and it was definitely a half of ups & downs.
Charlie in goal rose to the occasion, Jace won some big tackles and set the tone for the team and Kharbi dropped into defence to steady the ship.

Second half we were better and with the wind behind we took control of the game. Kharbi acrobatically scored the rebound after Ewan had hit the bar from a free kick 3-1 Zach cut in from the right to fire home and make it 4-1 ft

Great achievement by all involved !!! 🏆

The Football season is coming to a close but the Saturday Club will remain throughout the summer.

We look forward to seeing you there for your football fix !!

Good luck to our Under 8's today as they head into Finals Day.

It's been a fantastic achievement for this group of boys that are all local to the village and great friends.
Enjoy the day and regardless of the outcome, these boys have made great progress as a team and individuals.

Everyone within the club will be cheering you on!

Match Report - Under 14's

Last Night our Under 14's ended the season with an away fixture at top of the table Gainsborough Trinity and the added bonus of playing on the stadium pitch.
In an entertaining affair the scoreline finished 3-3 and capped off a good 1st season at a higher level for the Nettles.

Well Done to all involved!

MATCH REPORT - UNDER 13's

Our U13s had a huge game on Sunday as they looked to stay in the title race against top‑of‑the‑league Kirton. A win was needed, and although the boys started strongly they conceded in the first half. Credit to the lads though – they rallied and kept the pressure on, showing great belief after an unlucky setback.
A great goal from Isaac got us back into the game, setting up an intense, end‑to‑end battle. As the pressure built, Isaac grabbed his second, before goals from Kharbi and Seb put the game just out of reach, sealing a brilliant 4–1 win for the boys.
Today’s Man of the Match is a joint award.
Ewan was outstanding on the left wing, working tirelessly all game, giving 100% effort, creating chances and consistently causing problems down the flank – something he delivers week in, week out.
Charlie also fully deserves the recognition. He’s been brilliant all season and today was no exception. He controlled his box superbly, didn’t let height be a disadvantage, responded brilliantly after the first goal and produced some outstanding saves in a full‑size goal. A real leader from the back and an excellent shot stopper.
Well done boys – massive team effort 💪⚽

MATCH REPORT - UNDER 12's

Our Under 12's Finished the season with a fantastic display away at Louth.

Cementing 3rd place after being moved up 2 leagues, we are extremely proud of the boys for a great season.

Our Player of the Match was awarded to Fin. Fin did what Fin does and ran the show for the entire 60 minutes in hot conditions.

As the season draws to a close there are still games being played for the Nettleham Teams.

Our U11 Nettles closed the season with a friendly against our friends from Hykeham Tigers.

These 2 teams have been on a similar journey since the Under 7's with a friendship has developing between the coaches so a match today to wrap up a good season form both teams was a fitting ending.
The Tigers were in great form before a much improved second half performance from the Nettles made for a really entertaining afternoon.
The Nettles Player of the Match was awarded to George Canner for his endeavour on the left midfield.
