Sometimes life lifes but lifting is going to make it better

Literally the other day was feeling flat and uncertain, went out for a run and felt loads better

As your life changes and grows

You can’t keep doing the same training you have always done

In my 20s I could lift 5 days a week, shift big weights, late nights early mornings and it would be fine.

These days I have to be smarter with it

Which can be difficult to adjust if you don’t know what you are doing

Look it’s great you enjoy running and Pilates

That is defo a step in the right direction

But it’s not going to be enough to build muscle mass and change your shape

You still need to be lifting weights, progressively over time trying to lift more and getting close to failure

Over 30 doesn’t mean your fitness is done for

I hate when people say that

It only is if you let it happen!

You can be fit, strong and healthier

It’s just changing the routine to fit differently around your life now than trying to do the same s**t as when you were 20

To get leaner, feel more confident or build muscle you don’t need to do it all

Especially if you have a busy job, kids or are new to the gym

Instead focus on what you can do make it simple for yourself

Because part of the reason you have struggled in the past is not being consistent

So if you find something to be consistent at then you can get better results
