🏆🎣 PRIMAL YOUTH CARP CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL 2026 🎣🏆

What a way to finish our Primal Youth Carp Championship!

After our qualifying rounds throughout the year, 10 young anglers earned their place in the final and headed to Kendal Lake at Clearwater Fishery to battle it out for the title.
Clear Water Fisheries - Carnforth

And what a final it turned out to be! 👏

🥇 1st Place – Ted
An absolutely brilliant performance. Ted got his tactics spot on and landed 4 carp for a combined weight of over 60lb, giving him a well-deserved Championship victory! 🏆🎣

🥈 2nd Place – Harry
Another fantastic performance, finishing with 20lb and securing second place.

🥉 3rd Place – Logan
Right behind with 19.5lb, taking third place in what was a really competitive final.

But this Championship has been about much more than who lifted the trophy.

Watching these young anglers develop throughout the qualifiers and then come together for the final has been brilliant. The fishing, confidence, determination and sportsmanship we've seen is exactly why we started the Primal Youth Carp Championship.

Every one of the 10 finalists should be proud of themselves. Getting to the final was an achievement in itself, and seeing them supporting each other and enjoying their fishing is what youth angling should be about. 💚

A massive THANK YOU to Clearwater Fishery for allowing us to hold the final at such a fantastic venue and for supporting what we're trying to achieve for young anglers.

A huge thank you to Sonik for supporting us with prizes 🎁, Baits By Aki for their support, and of course all of the parents and families who have travelled, stayed bankside, encouraged the youngsters and supported the Championship throughout.

Without that support, events like this simply wouldn't happen.

And finally…

🏆 CONGRATULATIONS TED – OUR 2026 PRIMAL YOUTH CARP CHAMPION! 🏆

4 carp | 60lb+ | Championship Winner

This may have been the final of this year's Championship, but we're only just getting started with youth carp angling at Primal Mentality CIC.

🎣 The future of angling is looking very bright. 💚

A weekend Amelia will never forget 🎣🏆🌹

What a weekend for Amelia Rose at The Big Fish N Show 2026!

After having our Primal Mentality CIC stand at this year’s show, we were able to celebrate something incredibly special.

Earlier this year, Amelia competed at the Fish N Show and produced an unbelievable performance, catching over 200lb of carp and taking the overall win against a field of adult anglers. At just 9 years old, it was an achievement we were immensely proud of.

This weekend, that achievement was recognised in a way we don’t think Amelia will ever forget…

Jeremy Wade presented Amelia with a trophy to recognise her Fish N Show win! 🏆🎣

Seeing her standing there receiving her trophy was such a proud moment for all of us.

But what made the weekend even better was what happened afterwards. Amelia got to walk around the show, meet so many people from across the angling world, visit the different stands and have photographs taken with some brilliant anglers and organisations.

Everywhere she went, people were congratulating her on what she’d achieved. Seeing the smile on her face and watching her confidence grow with every conversation was priceless.

For us, this is exactly what encouraging young people into angling is all about. It’s not only about catching fish — it’s about confidence, friendships, experiences, role models and giving young anglers something to believe in and work towards.

A massive thank you to everyone at The Big Fish N Show, everyone who stopped Amelia for a chat or a photo, and everyone who has supported and encouraged her along the way.

And a special thank you to Jeremy Wade and Scott Lloyd for helping make the trophy presentation such a memorable moment.

From winning the event to walking around the show with her trophy and being congratulated by the angling community — what a journey for a 9-year-old angler.

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Amelia. 🌹🏆

Hopefully this is only the beginning. 🎣

🎣 WHAT A SESSION AT LATHOM! 🎣

Another fantastic evening on the bank with our young anglers at Lathom Fishery! 🙌

Everyone did absolutely brilliant tonight — plenty of fish caught, loads of smiles, and some great teamwork between the kids. It’s brilliant watching their confidence grow each week as they learn new skills and become more independent with their fishing. 🐟💚

One of the best things tonight was seeing more girls getting involved in angling! 🎣🙋‍♀️ We want fishing to be a sport that everyone feels welcome to take part in.👏

This is exactly what these sessions are about — getting young people outdoors, making friends, building confidence and creating positive memories through fishing.

Massive well done to every single one of them tonight. 👏🎣

More young people fishing. More opportunities. More memories made on the bank. 💚

🎣 GET FISHING AT CARR LANE! 🎣

Another brilliant session at Carr Lane, Prescot, with our young anglers getting out on the bank, learning new skills and, most importantly, enjoying themselves!

It was great to see plenty of fish being caught, but these sessions are about much more than catching. Angling gives young people the opportunity to spend time outdoors, build confidence, develop patience and concentration, learn practical skills and make new friends.

For some, it’s their first experience of fishing; for others, it’s a chance to keep developing their skills. Either way, seeing the smiles when a fish hits the net never gets old! 🙌🐟

A massive well done to everyone who took part — another fantastic Get Fishing session with Primal Mentality CIC.

We’re passionate about giving more young people the opportunity to experience everything angling and the outdoors can offer. 💚

🏔️🎣 SHE DID IT! AMELIA CONQUERED SNOWDON! 🎣🏔️

Yesterday, at just 9 years old, Amelia took on Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) to raise money for Primal Mentality CIC and the England Ladies Carp Team — and she absolutely smashed it! ❤️💪

⛰️ Reached the summit in just under 3 hours
🏔️ Completed the full challenge in 5 hours 30 minutes

What an achievement for a 9-year-old! We couldn't be prouder of her.

She kept pushing all the way to the top and back down again, showing incredible determination and a brilliant attitude throughout the whole challenge.

Most importantly, she did it to support two causes that mean a huge amount to her — helping Primal Mentality continue supporting children and young people through angling and the outdoors, while also supporting the England Ladies Carp Team. 🎣🏆

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has donated, supported Amelia, sent messages and shared the fundraiser so far. The support has been incredible and every single donation genuinely means a lot to us. ❤️

💥 THERE'S STILL TIME TO DONATE! 💥
If you'd like to show Amelia some support after this amazing achievement, the fundraiser is still open. Every donation, big or small, will be hugely appreciated and will be supporting Primal Mentality CIC and the England Ladies Carp Team.

If you can't donate, even a share can make a massive difference. 🙌
