Making Waves offers weekly and holiday swimming lessons to children from 3.5 years old. We also offer adult beginner, improver and advanced swimming sessions.
Rookie Lifeguard is also delivered on a Monday evening. Making Waves Swimming have been operating since 1991. It was set up and run by Lyn Dallimore who was passionate about everyone having the opportunity to learn to swim. Lyn Dallimore and Millie Herbert (Mother & Daughter) have been working side by side for the last 12 years and in July 2017 Millie took over following Lyns retirement. We offer
lessons to children from 3.5 years old. These weekly lessons are run at Sandringham School in St Albans. They take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4.30 - 7.30pm and Saturday 8 - 11am. Each lesson lasts for 30 minutes. Times depend on the ability of the children. The swim school also offers crash courses in most school holidays from 8.30 - 11. Lessons again last for 30 minutes. You choose a time to suit you and then come at that same time each day for the week. Making Waves uses an recognised award scheme, giving the children badges and certificates to works towards. This makes it interesting and fun for all involved.

Summer Crash Course Week 2. We have had another fabulous week at Aldwickbury School. The results have been amazing. From swimming unaided for the first time, diving down to pick up dive sticks, to stroke correction and increasing stamina. Well done everyone!! One more week at Sandringham School 10 - 14 August.
