Member of the Month - John 🌟

This month’s Member of the Month goes to the brilliant John 👏💙

John has been part of the Bootcamp SE16 family for years and has always been such an incredible advocate for Bootcamp. He’s someone who always gets involved, supports the community and brings a great attitude to everything he does 🙌

Whether it’s getting stuck into things outside of sessions (including recently helping with the shed clear out), showing up as a regular at Gintare’s Friday Strength Squad, or simply putting the work in week after week - John is always there giving it his all.

And as if that wasn’t enough, John has also recently hit an incredible milestone of 200 sessions at Bootcamp SE16 - What an achievement!

John - thank you for being such an active, friendly and hardworking member of the Bootcamp community. We really hope you continue to enjoy your training with us for many more sessions to come.

A huge congratulations from all of us - go John! 👏💪

Fero had his eye on the lighter kettlebell… and to be fair, we’ve all been there 😅

Sometimes it’s tempting to take the easier option, stay comfortable or convince ourselves we should go lighter.

But good coaching isn’t about shouting, forcing or pushing people beyond what’s right for them.

It’s about knowing the difference.

Knowing when somebody genuinely needs to scale things back… and knowing when they’re more capable than they realise.

And when we know you’ve got more in the tank?

We’ll absolutely encourage you 💪

Because growth rarely happens in the comfort zone.

The magic of training in a group is that you’re never doing it alone. You’ve got coaches who know you, teammates who back you and an environment that quietly encourages you to step up.

Sometimes all it takes is a little belief, a nudge in the right direction and suddenly… the 20kg kettlebell isn’t so scary after all.

That’s the power of coaching and the power of community.

Together is always better ❤️

These photos are about far more than carrying tyres.

They represent what Bootcamp is really about… teamwork, accountability and knowing you never have to do it alone.

Life and fitness both throw challenges at us. Some days we feel strong, other days we need support. That’s why training as part of a community matters.

There’s something powerful about sharing the load, encouraging one another and working towards a common goal. The tyres may be heavy… but they always feel lighter when you’ve got people beside you.

At Bootcamp, we celebrate individual progress, but we also believe in collective effort.

The laughs.
The encouragement.
The “come on, you’ve got this” moments.
The feeling of being part of something bigger than yourself.

Because fitness isn’t just about reps and calories.

It’s about connection, consistency and having people around you who help you keep showing up.

Together really is better 💪❤️

People often see moments like this and think it happened overnight… but this is what progress really looks like ❤️

When Aparna first joined Bootcamp, she was carrying a shoulder injury.

She still showed up, got involved and kept coming to sessions, but understandably it took a little while to build confidence and work through the limitations that injury can bring.

But what impressed me was this…

She never gave up.

Over time, she worked through the injury, kept showing up and slowly but surely things started to shift. She became more committed, more consistent and more invested in her training.

Although her shoulder had improved, it still hadn’t fully healed.

And instead of accepting that as her limit, Aparna decided to invest further in herself and signed up to work with me on a one-to-one basis so we could focus more closely on shoulder mobility, strength and long-term recovery.

That commitment says a lot.

Now she genuinely looks forward to training, takes her health seriously and always wants to progress.

And what I love most is her attitude towards challenge.

Even on those team sessions with team reps ahead of us, Aparna will still reach for the heavier kettlebell rather than take the easy option 👏

So this reel might be about “moving over to the dark side” 😏🔥 and picking up a 16kg kettlebell for her squats…

But really, it’s about resilience, commitment and what can happen when you keep showing up for yourself.

We’re incredibly proud of you, Aparna ❤️💪

Shout Out Sunday 🌟

This week’s shout out has to go to the brilliant Phil.

Last Saturday, Phil completed his first ever Spartan Race… and absolutely smashed it!

Phil - you’re already a Bootcamp legend, but now you can officially add Spartan legend to the list too 😆

Taking on a Spartan is no easy feat (especially taking on the 21km course!) but you threw yourself into the challenge and should be incredibly proud of yourself. We’re pretty sure all those regular Bootcamp workouts helped propel you round that course!

A huge, huge well done from all of us at Bootcamp SE16 👏

Why do we celebrate milestones at Bootcamp? ❤️

Because life moves fast… and too often we forget to celebrate the progress we make along the way.

At Bootcamp, we love celebrating member milestones, whether that’s 100, 200, 300 sessions or beyond. And yes… our current title holder is sitting at an incredible 1200+ sessions 🙌

Over the years, so many people have stuck with Bootcamp through busy jobs, family life, challenges, setbacks and changing seasons. That loyalty, commitment and consistency means the world to us.

To some people, a session milestone might seem small.

But to the person who once struggled to get started…
To the person who nearly quit…
To the person who kept showing up when motivation was low…

It feels BIG.

Because these numbers are never just about exercise.

They represent early mornings, perseverance, confidence built, friendships formed, stronger bodies and healthier habits.

We rarely celebrate the small wins in life enough and yet they are often the very things that create the biggest changes.

So whether you’ve completed 10 sessions or 1000+, know this…

We see you.
We celebrate you.
And we’re proud of every milestone along the way ❤️

Something people often say when they come across Bootcamp SE16 is that the people in our videos and photos look like real, everyday people… and they actually look like they’re enjoying themselves 🙌

Not fitness models.
Not influencers.
Not staged gym shoots.
No AI generated images.

Just genuine people from the local community training outdoors together, laughing together and supporting one another while improving their health and fitness.

And honestly, we think that matters.

Because when people are looking for somewhere to train, they want to see people they can relate to. People with busy lives, different fitness levels and different starting points, all showing up, working hard and having a good time whilst doing it.

That’s what makes fitness feel less intimidating.

At Bootcamp SE16, we work hard, but we also create an environment where people feel comfortable, welcomed and part of something more!

A place where people know your name, notice when you’re missing and celebrate your progress with you ❤️

And that’s a huge reason why people stay 🫶🏻
