🚨Marshals – keeping everyone going in the right direction (mostly 😉)
Fancy joining the fun? 🎉
Comment below or drop us an email — we’d love to have you! 💪✨
IMPORTANT PARKING REMINDER
On Saturday mornings, please *do not* park at Braywick Plant Nurseries. This car park is for customers and site users only. Unauthorised parking may result in your vehicle being blocked in.
Please park in the main leisure centre car parks that you can see on your right as you enter Braywick Park. The leisure centre (w3w: ///taxi.gladiators.nest) is at the far end of the car park. Other car parks are for permit holders only. Parking is payable via the RingGo app (location 37591) or at pay and display machines.
Thank you for your cooperation.

It's that time of year when many are away on holiday and we don't have our normal quota of young people volunteering for their Duke of Edinburgh award.
Despite that, we've already got the roster nearly filled for Saturday. Huge thanks to everyone who's already on the roster. We just need a handful more volunteers.
This is the current state of the volunteer roster for Saturday. The vacant slots in red are the roles which are essential, the blue slots are nice-to-haves.
If you've never volunteered before this is a great opportunity to give something back to parkrun and the volunteers who have supported you during your parkrun journey.
All the roles are straightforward and enjoyable and will be explained to you. It's the most fun you can have on a Saturday morning and it's free! Really.
Please comment below or email us at [email protected] if you can help. If you can't help this week then please look at the future roster and let us know when you can help in a future week.

This week’s stats summary … and another excuse to recognise Malcolm’s v500 milestone!

Have you ever wondered about volunteering? This is the perfect time! Volunteers are always a bit more scarce during the summer holidays. Whether you just feel like trying out something new or you'd like to pay back a little for all the support you've received as a runner or walker we'd love to have you on the team.
Never volunteered before? Don't worry! Every role is straightforward, full training is provided, and you'll have plenty of support from our friendly core team.
Volunteering is a fantastic way to start your weekend, meet new people, and cheer on our incredible walkers, joggers and runners as they complete their 5K.
Please comment below or email [email protected] if you can help.

What a great morning that was celebrating Malcolm’s mega milestone of 500 volunteers (almost all at Maidenhead) and a whole lot more besides. # Legend
We also had Kirsty Robinson celebrating her 50th birthday with some barcode scanning (and treats), Katherine Baker celebrating her ‘50 runs before 50’ in style (more cake and what looked like some sneaky bubbly with her supporters!), and Meggie Cumini celebrating her 250th run (after setting up the course).
Other runners/walk milestones were also achieved by Tom Scott (10); Sandra Woolford, Trevor Furnell, Beth Stewart & Michael Aston (25s); Eilish Allen, James Alderman & Jack Thompson (50s); Jane Gale & Lily Tidy (150s), and StJohn Ford (550).
Hope our visitors from the Gower, the Lake District, Norfolk, Manchester …. and High Wycombe enjoyed our celebrations.
420 warm but happy runners and 34 wonderful volunteers contributed to the event.
And finally, back to Malcolm. I’ve been asked to share the ‘poem’ for those out on the course who missed it
The Wonderful thing about Malcolm
Is Malcolm’s a wonderful thing
He’ll be at his corner in Winter
He’ll be at his corner in Spring
Malcolm’s a Maidenhead legend
Five hundred’s a cake-worthy feat
Sharing the corner with Malcolm
Is always a marshalling treat
He’s ever present, fluorescent,
Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun
But the most wonderful thing about Malcolm
Is he’s the only one
( With apologies to AA Milne and Tigger)
