Since 1889 Holyport Real Tennis Club has been a sporting and social hub in one of Berkshire's most picturesque villages. We host some of the world's best players, run tournaments for players of all levels, hold social events for members, family and friends, and seek to cultivate support and passion for the sport we love.

🏆 HOLYPORT BOWL 2026 🏆

Holyport's Annual Open Doubles Tournament!
One of the best social tournaments on the calendar!

Handicap doubles tournament over 3 days split into A grade and B Grade. Handicap cut off as a pair is 60.

While Competitive play is occuring on the court we will have a Casino Night Entertainment on the Friday

Then one of the biggest highlights of the weekend will be a superb tournament dinner at Les Lions Polo Club on Saturday 12th September.  Arrival is 1845, with food served from 1930. Attendees will be enjoy an extensive buffet with meat and veggie options . Players receive a dinner ticket as part of their entry, guests are encouraged to join, with under 16s going free. Les Lions bar will be open for additional drinks.

Light lunch will be provided on Saturday & Sunday for £5 a head, but will be included for any players who purchase the “Full Tournament Ticket”.

🏆 A fantastic weekend for Holyport at the prestigious King's Goblet tournament at Hampton Court! 👑🎾

We are incredibly proud of our members who flew the Holyport flag so brilliantly on one of the sport's biggest stages.

🥇 Neil Harrison-Smith & George Fowler were crowned King's Goblet Champions after a superb campaign.

👏 Mac Harrison-Smith and Sara Lambie also enjoyed excellent runs, reaching the semi-finals.

⭐ As if that wasn't enough, Neil Harrison-Smith was awarded the tournament MVP award, recognising an outstanding all-round performance throughout the event.

🏆 Neil then completed a remarkable weekend by winning the Chalice Pro-Am Challenge alongside Max Wetton.

Congratulations to Neil, George, Mac and Sara — and thank you for making us proud! Fantastic tournament and great organisation from our friends at Hampton Court 👏

Today is the start of the Bathurst Cup, with team GB facing Rest Of the World in Paris.

What a fantastic Finals Day at Holyport today — a great celebration of real tennis and of our club community.
Members gathered to watch three excellent finals.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day feel so special, especially Jill, Paul and Neil from the committee. Well done also to our new pro Alex, and to Ged, for marking such great matches, and to Jon for the photos and drone videos.

⭐ New Head Pro. New chapter. Same great club. ⭐

We’re delighted to introduce our new Head Professional, Alex Machin.

Joining us from Radley, Alex brings a wealth of experience, a left-handed game, and a passion for developing players of all levels. We’re excited to see him build on the club’s fantastic momentum and take Holyport into its next chapter.

A big thank you to Josh King for his incredible contribution over the past few years — from growing our thriving junior section to shaping the spirit of the club today. We wish him every success in his next adventure at Leamington.

Many congratulations to Holyport Real Tennis Club member Ed Popplewell, finalist in the over-60s category at the World Masters in Australia, only losing 6/4 in the 3rd set 👏

The club was super proud to be represented by so many excellent players at the World Masters, 2 weeks of exciting competitions (Team, Doubles, Singles) for players over 50 y.o., across 4 different real tennis clubs in Australie 🇦🇺
