How lovely to see the Tameside District Girls U13s team photo after their victory against Carmarthen Girls U13s.

No less than 4 of these 9 girls have been through our girls' development futsal sessions, some from the age of 7.

I will keep watching and supporting your footballing achievements with pride. Keep up the great work girls ❤️

A good win and a good performance against a good Sala Futsal Development side. The game was in balance for most of the first half, but was stretched just before the break and then a great second half performance secured a good win.

Better than the result though was the opportunity to give plenty of game time to 16 year old debutant Logan, who was outstanding, as well as some of the others who don't always get the time on court they would like.

We blended in some experience too and that was probably the biggest difference in all honesty.

It was great to be able to try some things that we don't always get time to practice in training. ⚽⚽⚽

⚽ MEET THE COACH DAY 8: RUSS FRYER

👋 And Finally...THE BOSS!

With 20 years' coaching experience at Manchester United, Liverpool, Bury, Manchester Futsal and Inspired Futsal, Russ founded Inspired in 2018 with just six girls on a Friday night. Today, the club supports around 140 children alongside our Men's Open Age team!

Russ is also an FA Coach Developer on the National Futsal Course, having spent seven years delivering the UEFA C football course. He is UEFA B qualified at Futsal, Football and Youth Award.

⚽ ROLE AT INSPIRED

Owner, Director, Head Coach of the Men's Team and Director of Youth Futsal and Football Holiday Camps. Russ also handles the behind-the-scenes work, from coaching and administration to finance and everything in between!

Russ coaches men's futsal and youth futsal development sessions throughout the week, delivers school futsal festivals with Tameside School Sports Partnership and has previously organised local futsal leagues. He also organises football camps in the school holidays.

🌍 LIFE OUTSIDE COACHING

Russ is Sports Co-ordinator at Ashton Sixth Form College, overseeing sports teams, enrichment clubs and elite athletes. He's also an Assistant Camp Director with CMT Learning on Liverpool FC residential camps and still coaches for Liverpool internationally.

😂 FUN FACT...

Russ has helped establish academies in Mumbai, Lagos and Abuja, appearing on Nigerian TV in a 20-minute interview broadcast to over 20 million viewers globally!

He's also met undefeated boxing champion Floyd 'Money' Mayweather and he can pronounce that Welsh town and train station! 🇬🇧

💚 WHAT DOES RUSS BRING TO INSPIRED?

PASSION. DRIVE. EMPATHY.

Russ believes in developing coaches as well as players. He gives young coaches opportunities to learn on the job, make mistakes and grow, while helping them access coaching qualifications through funding and course delivery.

Because building a club isn't just about developing players. It's about developing the people who inspire them.

Develop the player. Inspire the person. 💚

Tameside Schools Year 3/4 Boys Futsal Festival.

The first of 6 Futsal Festivals we will be delivering to girls and boys across the season alongside Tameside School Sports Partnership 🤝 ⚽️

⚽ A FANTASTIC DAY OF FUTSAL! 🔥

On Friday, we teamed up with Tameside School Sports Partnership to deliver a futsal festival for Year 3 and Year 4 boys, and what a fantastic event it was!

With 8 teams and around 50 players taking part, the sports hall was buzzing with energy, excitement and parents cheering on their boys. 👏❤️

Every single player was amazing, and it was brilliant to see so many smiling faces enjoying themselves, showcasing their skills and experiencing the excitement of futsal.

Hopefully, we’ll see some of these boys again at Inspired Futsal, where they can continue developing their technical skills through additional training alongside their regular football sessions.

Futsal is a fantastic way to get more touches on the ball, improve close control, develop confidence and learn to make decisions in tight spaces. ⚽💥

A huge thank you to Tameside School Sports Partnership for working with us to make the festival happen, and to all the schools, teachers, players and parents who helped make it such a success!

The smiles say it all. More futsal, more touches, more learning! 🙌

Develop the player. Inspire the person 💚

⚽ MEET THE COACH: LIZ WHITE

At Inspired Futsal, we love seeing coaches grow in confidence, develop their skills and share their passion for the game. Today, we're introducing another member of our coaching team!

👋 MEET LIZ!

⚽ ROLE AT INSPIRED

Liz is an Assistant Coach in our boys' youth programme, helping our younger players develop their skills and enjoy their futsal.

👩‍🍳 LIFE OUTSIDE COACHING

Away from the court, Liz is a chef at The Director's Box in Manchester city centre — a sports bar with arguably the most screens in Manchester! 📺

She's also taking on the challenge of running a half marathon in May. Good luck, Liz! 🏃‍♀️

🏆 COACHING AT INSPIRED

Liz is in her first year with Inspired, working mainly with our 7–10-year-old boys on Tuesdays. She also steps in to support other coaches when needed across our boys' and girls' sessions throughout the week.

😂 THE FUN FACT...

Liz featured in Manchester City's All or Nothing documentary and played alongside Vincent Kompany! ⚽💙

💚 WHAT DOES LIZ BRING TO INSPIRED?

Enthusiasm. Passion. A willingness to learn.

Liz is building her confidence and gaining valuable coaching experience in a sport she's passionate about.

We love seeing our coaches develop alongside our players, and Liz is a great example of how the right attitude and enthusiasm can make a real difference.

Develop the player. Inspire the person. 💚

⚽ MEET THE COACH: MARTIN

At Inspired Futsal, our coaches bring more than just coaching experience. They bring their personalities, life experience and plenty of stories along the way!

👋 MEET MARTIN!

⚽ ROLE AT INSPIRED

Martin manages our Monday Night Open Age team, is Assistant Coach of the Men's Team, part of the club committee and can often be found running the stop clock on matchdays.

His wife Homa is our official photographer and takes some amazing shots with just her trusty phone!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 LIFE OUTSIDE COACHING

Martin is a dad of three grown-up children and two grandchildren.

Away from futsal, he runs his own Customer Experience Consultancy.

🏆 COACHING AT INSPIRED

Whether he's managing the Open Age team on Monday, supporting them on Sunday or just helping things run smoothly on matchdays, Martin brings plenty of experience and enthusiasm to Inspired.

😂 THE FUN FACT...

Back in 1998, Martin helped raise over £5,000 by taking part in a Full Monty dance with colleagues! 🕺

There is photographic evidence...
We're just not sure anyone actually wants to see it! 😂

💚 WHAT DOES MARTIN BRING TO INSPIRED?

Experience. Enthusiasm. Character.

Martin is one of those people who gets involved wherever he's needed — whether that's coaching, managing, supporting the team or simply making sure matchday runs smoothly.

And we're pretty sure there aren't many other coaches who can put “Full Monty fundraiser” on their CV! 🤣

Develop the player. Inspire the person. 💚
